Had a great time. Tour lasted about 3 hours which was perfect. You will get very wet so make sure your poncho is tied securely
My family recently did the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds Guided Tour. It was amazing! Greg, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. We loved the whole experience. The boat was a lot of fun, but our favorite part of the experience was the Cave of the Winds. Being so close to the falls was awesome!
Lots of walking and you will get WET!! Cave of the Winds was indescribable and Maid of the Mist was just a precursor! It would have been nice to use the trolley between these two sites. You might want to carry extra shoes or sandals in a waterproof bag.
Overall, a great experience!!! Well organized with an insightful guide!!! Give yourself extra time to find parking as the recommended parking lot was full.
Nice tour size...not too big. Guide was informative and I appreciated not having to wait in line for our tickets. Joel was great!
We had a wonderful experience with our guided tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and every activity was a lot of fun.
Overall, this tour was a convenient and worthwhile way to experience Niagara Falls State Park. The biggest advantage was having guaranteed tickets and reserved time slots for both the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds, which allowed us to stay on schedule with the rest of our travel itinerary. The tour began and ended on time, and it included the promised walks and commentary about the history of the falls and local anecdotes. There are a few areas where the experience could be improved. We had approximately 45 minutes of waiting time that could have been used more effectively with additional information or stories about the park. Our guide was friendly and courteous, but he spoke very quickly and his diction made him difficult to understand at times. The most challenging part came after the Maid of the Mist ride. Our group wasn't sure where to meet afterward, and the guide was not visible when we exited. A clearly designated meeting point—or something as simple as the guide holding a brightly colored umbrella or flag—would have made regrouping much easier. We eventually found the group, but only after asking several people for directions. Despite these issues, I would recommend this tour, primarily for the convenience of guaranteed admission and scheduled entry times. If the communication and group coordination were improved, it would be an even better experience.
This was an incredible experience. Our tour guide Joel was amazing. He was informative, kept track of all the groups in our tour party, and was overall just a nice guy. Our family made many memories!!!
The guided tours are great AND they warn you about hazards you might not realize. Also bring a change of clothes.
The guided tour gave so much info we would have missed otherwise and we weren’t wondering around the park with kids.
