Das Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary am Victoriasee in Uganda bietet eine einzigartige Gelegenheit, verwaiste und gerettete Schimpansen in einer natürlichen Waldumgebung zu beobachten. Das 1998 gegründete Schutzgebiet erstreckt sich über 100 Hektar, 98 % der Fläche sind bewaldet und bieten einen sicheren Hafen für über 50 Schimpansen

Reiseverlauf
Beginnen Sie Ihren Tag mit einer frühen Abholung von Ihrem Hotel in Kampala oder Entebbe. Sie fahren auf der Straße zum Entebbe Waterfront Pier, der sich in der Nähe des Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) befindet. Die Fahrt dauert je nach Verkehr etwa 1 bis 1,5 Stunden.
Ankunft am Pier und Einchecken für Ihren Bootstransfer zur Insel Ngamba. Nach einer kurzen Einweisung und Schwimmwestenanprobe steigen Sie in ein Schnellboot oder traditionelles motorisiertes Kanu (je nach Paket). Die Bootsfahrt dauert etwa 45 Minuten und bietet einen schönen Blick auf den Victoriasee, Fischerboote und kleine Inseln.
Bei Ihrer Ankunft werden Sie von den Sanctuary-Mitarbeitern empfangen. In einer kurzen Orientierungsstunde werden die Geschichte des Heiligtums, die Geschichte der Schimpansen und die Erhaltungsmission des Heiligtums vorgestellt.
Transfer Zurück nach Kampala oder Rückgabe in Entebbe Nach dem Anlegen in Entebbe bringt Sie Ihr Fahrer zurück nach Kampala oder setzt Sie an Ihrem Hotel oder Flughafen in Entebbe ab.
