Wildwasser-Rafting in der New River Gorge, WV – Lower New, ganzer Tag

Beschreibung

We had a wonderful time! Our guide Katie was great! I wouldn’t recommend this one for smaller kids, but my teenagers loved it. Be sure to bring water, sunscreen, water shoes, towels, and maybe a change of clothes. Arrival for check in is an hour before the start time.
This was a great whitewater experience. ACE is well run, well organized and our guide Stew and trip leader Zach made this special - lots of fun and laughter along the way. Expected to get wet - not disappointed. Water surprisingly comfortable for being early season. Lunch provided was very good. Be advised over confusion over trip start time (get to the water) vs. bus loading time (get on the bus). We booked well in advance and forgot about the distinction. Missed our bus, but ACE covered us by finding a spot on the next trip.
It was awesome! Our first time and we will def be back! Carrington was amazing! Kudos to her!! Very safe, knowledgeable and fun!!
Went with Scotty O, best trip of our lives. Excellent knowledgeable tour guide. Funniest man alive and incredibly smart couldn’t have asked for a better guide he was a true pro in every aspect and we can’t wait to come back!
ACE rafting was great! We lucked out with Zach (Rhode Island) as our guide. He was friendly, personable and involved everyone in the trip. It was like going with a friend. But his knowledge of the river was fantastic...he picked the best lines and guided the raft with a knowing hand. It allowed us to just have fun. Lunch was good pulled pork. What a beautiful day on the river in beautiful West Virginia. I had last done the Lower New in 1986...I got to share it with my wife this time (we live out West) and show her a part of W.Va. she hadn't experienced. A great trip in a beautiful place with a great guide and four new friends from Charleston. A great day to be remembered!
White water rafting is fun and exciting. ACE organized very well. Rafting guides are experienced and professional. Highly recommend to our friends.
5 of us, three older teens and two 50+ers. Mikey Hendricks was our guide and made the trip an absolute blast. (Except some of his jokes made you want to jump off the raft😄) He asked if we wanted it “spicy” and he delivered. Great knowledge of the river and answered all our questions. Lunch was very good with plenty for all. If you have never rafted before, stop what you’re doing and call the folks at Ace and schedule a trip with Mike or any of the other professionals. You won’t regret it. And remember to support Mikey Hendricks in 2058. It’ll Be Lit!
Viator did Not inform us we needed to be there one hour early in order to catch the bus. I called the adventure company on another matter and they informed me. This was an awesome trip, I’m so glad we did not miss it. Excellent guides-great instructions-great white water. Even lunch had vegetarian options. Great people to spend this great time with.
I had one of the funniest days of my life rafting with them. Even the straps being level 5, I felt safe and oriented all the time. Guides and staff super well prepared, cordial and well-humored. Our guides Jen and Maggie were a differential on the ride. The quality of the lunch served should also be mentioned. All the food was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend New River Gorge National Park.
Best experience we could have imagined. Rapids and activities were a good mix of challenge and fun. These folks love their jobs and provide an awesome mix of expertise and fun! Small rafts = more personalized experience than other places offer and they take their time getting you down the river to allow for rock jumps, swimming in rapids, floating and enjoying learning local lore and the scenery.
