Diese Veranstaltung kombiniert die Geschichte der Louisiana-Küche mit Cocktails im New Orleans-Stil und ist ein Fest für die Sinne! Zusammen mit Ihrem Fortgeschrittener besuchen Sie bis zu 6 Orte : Auszeichnung Fischrestaurants, James Beard-nominierte Craft-Cocktail-Lounges, kreolische Restaurants, handwerkliche Süßigkeitenläden und mehr. Im Inneren probieren Sie bis zu 6 oder mehr verschiedene Gerichte, die den modernen Ausdruck unseres kulinarischen Kulturerbes darstellen: klassische Gerichte wie Gumbo und Muffulettas, aber auch neue Interpretationen wie süße gebratene Kochbananen! (Vegetarische Optionen sind ebenfalls verfügbar!) Wir werden auch 4 Cocktails in voller Größe genießen, wie den erfrischenden Pimm's Cup, den rumlastigen Hurricane, den klassischen Daiquiri und mehr! Diese 4-stündige gastronomische Odyssee ist unsere Art, Ihnen zu zeigen, wohin wir jetzt gerne gehen und was wir gerne essen und trinken, wenn wir dort sind. Bei so vielen Restaurants und Trinkmöglichkeiten in New Orleans, warum nicht bis zu 6 verschiedene Orte auf einen Schlag ausprobieren?! *Alle Veranstaltungsorte können sich je nach Verfügbarkeit ändern.

Reiseverlauf
Die Wanderung beginnt im preisgekrönten Red Fish Grill im French Quarter Viertel von New Orleans. Sie beginnen mit Alligatorwurst & Meeresfrüchte Gumbo. Den Auftakt machen wir auch mit unserem ersten Cocktail hier: dem Cat 5 Hurricane. Dieser Teil der Tour konzentriert sich historisch auf die vorkoloniale und koloniale Periode der Louisiana-Geschichte und dauert in der Regel etwa 35 Minuten.
Vier Blocks weiter geht es in den Pepper Palace, wo wir den Cajun-Einfluss diskutieren und eine unbegrenzte Auswahl an scharfen Saucen, Grillsaucen, Buffalo Wings Saucen, Salsa, Dry Rubs und mehr probieren. Kunden auf der Tour erhalten auch eine kostenlose Flasche heiße Sauce im Louisiana-Stil.
Unser vierter Veranstaltungsort wird ein Sitzerlebnis im legendären Restaurant Napoleon House sein. Berühmt für ihre einzigartigen Muffulettas und Pimm's Cup Cocktails, genießen Sie beides neben einem herzhaften Huhn und Andouille Wurst Jambalaya. An dieser Stelle wird der Tour Guide nicht nur diese Gerichte erklären, sondern auch die Einwanderermuster des 19. Jahrhunderts nach New Orleans, die Louisianas Küche erneut beeinflussten.
Von dort gehen Sie an der Bourbon Street vorbei und fahren 4 Blocks hinauf zu Leah’s Pralines: einem Süßwarenladen in Familienbesitz der 3. Generation. Sie probieren traditionelle Pralinen und ihren einzigartigen Speck Pecan Brittle.
Anschließend geht es zum James Beard Award-nominierten Cane & Table. Mit einem Schwerpunkt auf rustikaler Kolonialküche und verspielten Rumgetränken probieren Sie ihre gebratenen Kochbananen mit Limetten-Creme und Salsa Macha und einem klassischen Daiquiri aus karibischem weißen Rum, frischer Limette und Zucker.
Gehen Sie während Ihrer Essenstour am berühmten Jackson Square vorbei.
Schlendern Sie an allen Geschäften in der Royal Street vorbei.

Our guide Ben was amazing. He knows all about the history of New Orleans and the story behind the dishes and the cocktails. A good trip to include in the first days of your stay so you know ehat to look for during the rest of your trip. You can collect all the tips and tricks of navigating New Orleans.
My friend and I decided to do this food tour as a part of our trip to New Orleans. I was kind of hesitant at first because I do not like a lot of seafood and I knew that it was going to be on the tour. I decided to go with the vegetarian options and they did not disappoint. I’m glad that this was a choice considering that spending all that money and not being able to have anything to eat would not make me very happy. Our tour guide Meg was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and personable. The stops that we went to had either good food, good drinks, both -or- things to sample. The samples were all of quality ingredients. The tour was for up to 16 people, but we only had five people which made it small and intimate by the end. We felt like we made a lot of new friends.
This tour was complete worth it. We had good food and drinks along with learning about New Orleans history. Our tour guide was fantastic. I would absolutely do it again and recommend to others. It is worth the price to do the food and cocktail tour

11/10 would recommend this tour to people. And hope that you get Ben as a guide because he was so knowledgeable and friendly, he had excellent rapport with the staff at every single stop. The food and cocktails were excellent at every stop. There was a bit of walking but it was by no means difficult, all flat, and there was enough time between stops to recover if need be. Definitely will be recommending this tour!

Our tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and accomodating. We learned a great deal about the history of the city as well as the history of the food and cocktails. The restaurants were beautiful; the food and cocktails were fantastic. The praline store and the spice store were great. We brought home some of New Orleans to enjoy and remember our trip. I would definitely take this tour again
