Chr. erbaut wurde, eine alte Töpferei im Dorf Damala, die noch traditionelle Töpfereien herstellt, und dann besuchen wir die drei schönsten und berühmtesten Dörfer von Naxos! Halki, das war das alte Zentrum von Naxos, Filoti, das größte Dorf und Apeiranthos das traditionelle Dorf aus Stein und Marmor! **Der Tempel des Demeters ist jeden Dienstag geschlossen. Sie besuchen die Olivenpresse in Kaloxilo, um sich über traditionelle Olivenölproduktionsmethoden zu informieren und lokale Olivenöle zu probieren.

Archäologische Stätte, Der Tempel von Demeter in Naxos: In der Nähe des Dorfes Sangri, 10 km von der Stadt Naxos entfernt, liegt der heilige Tempel von Demeter. Dieser prächtige Tempel wurde ausschließlich aus Naxos-Marmor von höchster Qualität gefertigt und stammt aus dem 6. Jahrhundert vor Christus. Da Demeter die olympische Göttin der Landwirtschaft, der Ernte und der Fruchtbarkeit war, bauten die Menschen ihr gewidmete Tempel auf fruchtbaren Böden wie dem von Sangri.

The perfect blend of life in Naxos, culture and history. We enjoyed a variety of stops and didn’t feel rushed. We valued having a guide who could get us safely to our stops on the narrow and winding roads.
Our driver, Manolis, was a local and very knowledgeable. He made a wonderful recommendation for lunch while we were visiting the villages. We ended up booking him for our transport to the port for our departure as well.

This is the must do tour of Naxos island! We had a local, Mario, and he was legendary. Took us to several excellent spots, so much history, and was patient and helpful all along the way. The Pottery was a blast to see, Filoti and Chalki were so beautiful and rich with history. Mario even took us to some churches and gave us some excellent history to think about. Even our teenage daughters had a blast and they still remember this as the most memorable tour of all our 11 days in Greece.

We had a fantastic tour of Naxos, truly one of the highlights of our trip. Mario was an incredible guide: friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great tips about the island that we never would have discovered on our own. We visited some amazing sites, but the standout was definitely the pottery workshop. We ended up spending way more time there than planned because we loved it so much! Even though we’ve been to Naxos before, we learned and saw so many new things, which made the experience even more special. Overall, a wonderful tour that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting the island.
