Unser erster Halt ist der Demeter-Tempel. Neben dem beeindruckenden Denkmal haben Sie die Möglichkeit, das archäologische Museum zu besuchen. Wir setzen unsere Tour fort und machen unseren nächsten Halt in Damalas, einem niedlichen kleinen Dorf im Herzen des Tragea-Tals, wo wir eine Vorführung in der einzigen verbliebenen traditionellen Töpferwerkstatt und der traditionellen restaurierten Olivenpresse genießen werden. Dann fahren wir nach Chalki, wo Sie durch malerische Gassen schlendern können. Dann machen wir uns auf den Weg zur ältesten byzantinischen Kirche, Panagia Drossiani Unser nächster Halt ist das berühmteste Dorf von Naxos, Apiranthos, das „Marmordorf“. Wir fahren in Richtung des nördlichen Teils der Insel Naxos und landen am nördlichsten Rand von Naxos, im Dorf Apollonas, einem kleinen typischen Kykladendorf, ideal zum Schwimmen oder einfach zum Entspannen in den verschiedenen Cafés am Meer. Auf dem Rückweg halten wir an der beeindruckenden Kouros-Statue und kehren dann nach Chora zurück. Dabei folgen wir der Nord-Nordwestküste der Insel und genießen den Blick auf den Agia-Turm und die Nordkykladen-Inseln.

Dieser prächtige Tempel wurde ausschließlich aus Naxos-Marmor höchster Qualität gefertigt und stammt aus dem 6. Jahrhundert v. Chr.
Das kleine Dorf Damalas, das wie ein Amphitheater am Fuße des Lagos-Hügels im Tal von Tragea liegt, ist von vielen anderen Orten der Insel aus sichtbar und bietet fantastische Ausblicke.
Das Dorf Chalki auf Naxos (oder Chalki) liegt im zentralen Bereich der Region Tragea, dem größten Olivenanbaugebiet der Kykladen, 16 km von Naxos-Stadt entfernt. Chalki hat eine lange Geschichte und war einst die Hauptstadt von Naxos sowie das wichtigste Verwaltungs- und Handelszentrum.
Apollonas auf Naxos ist ein schönes Fischerdorf. Es ist nach Apollo, dem olympischen Gott des Lichts und der Musik, benannt und seit der Antike bewohnt.
Die bemerkenswerte Statue eines Kouros befindet sich außerhalb des Dorfes Melanes in der Landschaft von Naxos.

A great day out ...well organised and saw a lot of the island Plenty of stops but it all fitted together well
Eric (our knowledgeable tour guide) and Demetrius (our rock star driver) provided us with a fun, uphill and downhill tour of their beautiful island, historical sites, picturesque towns, including visits to a pottery shop, olive oil tastings, and a sandy beach. It was a fantastic day, one of the best on our trip to GREECE. This tour almost did not happen has my husband was sick on our scheduled tour day and Eric so graciously was able to shift our booking to a couple of days later. Without this consideration, we would have left Naxos without seeing the natural beauty of the island and meeting so many lovely people. Thank you Eric and Demitrious for your joy and hospitality. We have so many lovely memories.
We really enjoyed the course of the day. It was really beautiful, the bus driver a really very experienced person, our guide very attentive, available and interesting. A great experience!
Ticket said "pickup at hotel" but we had to go to tour cos. offices and walk down to coach. Nice tour round and information from guide.

The tour guide was very informative. It is unfortunate that the weather did not cooperate as we missed the scenic view on the way back due to rain. A special thanks to the bus driver and his navigational skills on the narrow roads.

I couldn't recommend this tour highly enough! Our guide Vicky and our driver Janus were superb (Vicky for her knowledge and interesting facts and Janus for skillfully navigating the narrow roads of Naxos.) Not only did I learn a lot about the island, but the stops brought us to some breathtaking villages and sights: I'd highly recommend the tour for people on a shorter holiday as you can pack in a lot of sights in a way that'd be much harder to arrange on your own if you didn't have the time. The bus was old and the armrests on our seats were broken. The guide was excellent. The stop for lunch was in a small town with really nothing to do. The lunch break should be in the Town before where there was more to do and better lunch options.

We chose this excursion because it had to have a Guide speaking French. Now the Guide did not speak a word of French. it is clearly a deception about the goods.
This was wonderful tour. We learned all about the marble production and carving methods in ancient times. I really liked the visit to the old town (Halki, I believe) and the visit to the small church. Our group was well treated. Our guide at times was hard to understand, however was very knowledgeable about the area and made sure we all felt satisfied with the content of the tour.
