Herrlicher Blick auf das Great Rift Valley, 8 km Wanderung und Vogelbeobachtung. Eine großartige Möglichkeit, um fit zu bleiben und Ihre Fitness zu verbessern. Ein gutes muss Nervenkitzel tun. Abholung vom Hotel um 6:00 Uhr und Fahrt zum Mt. Longonot, wie die Sonne vom Boden des Great Rift Valley aufgeht, ist wie ein Monolith der erloschene Vulkan des Mount Longonot. Ankunft am Mt. Longonot ist gegen 7 Uhr morgens. Eine Besonderheit ist der dichte Wald, der im Krater des Berges liegt. Der Kraterrand bietet auch einen herrlichen Panoramablick über das wunderschöne Rift Valley bis zum Lake Naivasha. Im Mount Longonot National Park können Sie auf einer 6,4 Kilometer langen Rundwanderung bis zum Rand des Kraters die Wanderung um weitere 2,4 Kilometer verlängern um den Kraterrand. Dort erhalten Sie nach der Wanderung im örtlichen Restaurant lokales Essen und kehren dann zum Hotel zurück. Auf dem Weg vorbei an den Souvenirläden für ein paar Geschenke.

Mwose was a life saver for bringing me to Mt. Longonot last minute due to a change with my original tour operator, and I am glad I got him! My experience was excellent. Moses, our driver and guide was very knowledgeable and professional. The hike was a bit harder than I expected with some steep hills, but still loved it. Totally recommend doing. 10/10, wouldn’t change anything about the experience. Total time almost 5 hours.

The volcano was amazing. The hike could be a little challenging at parts, but if you’re in okay shape you should be totally fine to complete it. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in Kenya. Our guide Moses was super nice and made the experience smooth.

We thoroughly enjoyed our hike to Mount Longonot with our super driver and guide Moses. It wasn’t the best day as there was a lot of cloud but the walk itself was a lot more pleasant as it wasn’t so hot. Parts of the walk were fairly tough but our guide Moses helped us complete no bother. Well worth having a driver and guide than doing it on your own.

Choose your own pace and then trail option once you’ve arrived at the rim. 6 hrs estimated for hikers in excellent shape; be aware of Nairobi’s traffic delays.

Very good experience. The guide picked me up from my hotel around 6am. After 2 hours drive we arrived on site. Hiking is not very long in itself (less than 1h and 2h depending on your pace) but it goes up very quickly! You better have good hiking shoes. The view is very beautiful from above, we have a wonderful view of Lake Naivasha too. It is worth the visit and the guide is very friendly! Well on the other hand, there was not really "bird watching".
