Our guide Donald was amazing, he spotted so many tiny creatures that I could never have imagined possible to see. Seeing the tiny animals up close through the scope was super cool, we saw tarantulas, viper snakes, a sleeping monkey, lots of birds, and even a sloth on the move at the end.
We are so glad to hear how much you enjoyed the tour and all the animals you saw. Thank you very much Cassandra_L for taking your time to review us. It is always good to get this important feedback.
it is a very unique experience with the night tour. We see all kind of animals we can't during daytime.
Thank you so much Xiaoli_Z for letting us know about how was your experience on the night tour. You are totally right the night walks are really amazing. It’s another way to enjoy the forest and with an experienced guide is possible to enhance the activity.
We had a great tour with Donald. It was just myself and my husband on the two hour tour so we had many opportunities to see the creatures of the night through his telephoto lens and with our naked eye. Donald was very knowledgeable and shared his knowledge with us. It was so interesting learning all about the social structure and life of the Queen Leaf Cutter Ant!
Thank You Meera201 for taking you time and telling us about your experience on our night walk. We are happy to hear how much you enjoyed the tour and how helpful was your guide. The forest becomes so interesting at night, so also little creatures are very special when we understand their important roll in the ecosystems.
Our guide was great in spotting the night creatures. Although nothing is guaranteed when looking for wildlife the guides coordinate & share spotting locations. The sleeping toucan was one of my favorites.
It’s wonder to hear about how helpful was your guide. Thank you a lot X149CTpennyc for telling us about your experience on the night walk.
Very interesting experience, you can see lots of animals but you gotta be patient. Price is unbeatable. We saw a monkey, tucans, a porcupine, wooly opossums and some birds.
Thank uou so much Mario P. We are so glad you saw many animals on the night walk. And that’s true spotting wildlife requires to be patience and some luck. Every night is different but we always see some interesting animals.
We had a night tour with Donald from Monteverde Eco Tours. He shared his love for nature and biology with us. Donald also helped us to take pictures through his telescope! Amazing tour and can only highly recommend!
Thank you a lot thomas for reviewing us! We are so glad you enjoyed your night walk. Definetly one of the best things to do in the area. We also recommend a daytime tour. There is a lot to explore on our Monteverde guided Walk.
Super dear and knowledgeable guide. Have been able to discover many animals and learned a lot. Really top Price quality ratio. Can recommend this tour to anyone!!
Thank you Ambassador791722 for your kind words and sharing with us about your experience on our night walk. We appreciate it so much.
Excellent. Everything was perfect. We had to change the date of the visit several times and the claimant was very accommodating. We were able to observe plenty of reptile bird insects
This was our second guided tour in a day, but this time it was at night. The reserve that this tour is on is a very well maintained and honestly feels a lot more like a walking path compared to others we had done. Nonetheless, we saw plenty of animals in a perspective since it was at night. Surprisingly, it seems like more animals are out at night than in the day. There are a bit of groups and tours that do use this preserve, so the first portion of the tour can have a bit of noise and interactions, but as you progress the groups spread out. Guides communicate with each other on findings, but keep your eyes peeled.
Thank you U2791EDoscarh for telling us about your experience on our night walk. Like you say this is a very nice reserve and the local family that ownes it has a great sense of conservation. Dispite many years ago they were dedicated to farming and cattle ranching, nowadays they are totally involved in the development of the sustainable tourism for the area. No doubts it is one of the best places for exploring the forest at night. As tour guides we always try to help each other so that our visitors can see a lot and have a wonderfull experience in the reserve.
We did the night walk tour in hopes of seeing some animals that had not seen in Costa Rica on day tours. Overall good experience - did see an olingo, kinkajou, sleeping toucanette plus lots of frogs and insects. We did find it a bit disconcerting that there is an air bnb on the site and twice had cars driving through the trail.
S6990DRthomasc thank you for taking your precious time to tell us about your experience on the night walk. It is always so important for us to have this kind of feedback. There are certainly some airbnbs around the area. As long as we can we avoid walking on the road that leads to these places but sometimes when there is good activity of the fauna by this area, we walk for a while on the road near the entrance of the reserve.
