Glodok ist eines der größten Chinatowns Indonesiens und das erste berühmte Viertel namens Pecinan, Tionghoa, bezieht sich auf den Namen der Chinesen. Glodok ist auch Teil der Altstadt, in der sich viele historische Stätten der niederländischen Kolonialherren befinden. Im 17. Jahrhundert war Glodok ein isolierter Ort, um leicht kontrolliert werden zu können, da sie gute Geschäfte machten. Die Chinesen in Indonesien haben viele Geschichten aus der Kolonialzeit und der Zeit nach der Finanzkrise. Nach der Abholung und Fahrt innerhalb von 30 Minuten von Ihrem Hotelbereich geht es weiter nach Chinatown in der Gegend von Glodok. Wenn Sie Chinatown betreten, sehen Sie den Tempel mit der alten Pagode, die 1650 erbaut wurde, und besuchen den alten Tempel für „Yin und Yang“, Gut und Böse, Himmel und Hölle oder Karma. Anschließend erkunden Sie den Markt von Petak Sembilan. Glodok ist eines der alten Chinatowns, das die Menschen das Gebiet „Grojok“ nannten, eine Anspielung auf die Sundanesische Sprache vor der Kolonialherrschaft, dann wurde Glodok auch „Gelodog“ genannt und bezieht sich auf den Namen des Tores des Gebiets Batavia in der Kolonialzeit. Bei diesem Erlebnis werden Sie von der Gegend fasziniert sein, in der die Einheimischen „Glodok“ sagen. In vielen Geschäften finden Sie Herbalis und Apotik, Süßigkeiten, Cracker und Kuchen usw. Nach Glodok fahren Sie in 10 Minuten in die Altstadt.
Beim Betreten der Altstadt sehen Sie alte Gebäude im chinesisch-europäischen Stil, die seit der Kolonialzeit bestehen. In der Altstadt gibt es einen großen Garten von 139 m², auch Rathaus genannt. Der Park wird von den Leuten „Fatahillah“ genannt und bezieht sich auf den Sultan von Banten, der das Gebiet in „Sunda Kelapa“, dem ersten Teil Jakartas, angriff. Während Sie im Park sind, werden Sie einige Gebäude sehen, die als Museen, Postämter, Cafés und Behörden genutzt werden. Am Nachmittag werden wir eine Stunde oder weniger dort verbringen. Dann geht es weiter zum Fischmarkt vor oder nach PIK, dem Höhepunkt des Programms. PIK ist das moderne Chinatown an der Nordküste Jakartas. Bei diesem Programm können Sie je nach der Zeit, die wir für die Halbtagestour eingeplant haben, entweder länger oder kürzer bleiben. Sie können auch den besten Ort zum Abendessen auswählen, wie das Café Batavia Jakarta, den Fischmarkt Resto Apung oder die Gegend um die PIK Avenue.
Jakarta bietet mit dem Resto Floating Muara Angke einen interessanten Ort für Fischmarktkonzepte und kulinarischen Tourismus. Wie der Name schon sagt, liegt dieses Restaurant am Meer. Um das Floating Resto zu erreichen, ist jedoch keine Bootsfahrt erforderlich, da der Eingang des Restaurants an Land liegt. Hier können Sie den Fisch sehen und kaufen oder direkt im Resto Apung kaufen und kochen.
Nach Ihrer Ankunft, dem „Höhepunkt der Tour“, erwartet Sie am Nachmittag ein faszinierendes Chinatown im Laternenlicht. Dies ist ein Jakarta-Geschäftsviertel mit chinesischer Dominanz, mit schöner Aussicht und noch spannender. Dann können Sie die Allee mit ihren langen Kanälen und dem roten Lampion erkunden, dort zu Abend essen oder einfach nur Fotos machen, einkaufen oder abhängen.
Dies ist der Abschluss unseres Programms. Wir kehren zum Hotel zurück und machen einen Fotostopp am Monument National, dem Symbol der Hauptstadt Indonesiens, im schimmernden Gold in der Nacht in einer Höhe von 132 Metern auf einer 80 Hektar großen Fläche davor des Präsidentenpalastes. Jakarta has a lot of traffic. But you get through it. The PKI 1 is a great place to eat dinner, and get a pic of the Pagoda. Visit PKI 2 at night, and see the lights on the bridge change.

The tour I selected was not so special rather the company of the Guide Siti who was the best guide I hv ever met travelling all along the world . She was very informative, a very sound knowledge of history, culture of different country was beyond my belief and also very proficient in English . The driver Syamsui was ever courteous and hence the company of them both made the tour and an evening of outing in Jakarta worthwhile . As with the tour they will cover all the places of the itinerary but be ware of the traffic in Jakarta .

Very interesting tour. We were picked up at ships dock by our guide 'Borneo'. He and his driver expertly weaved their way through the congested streets of Jakarta to arrive at 'Old' Chinatown. An interesting assortment of storefronts some with some very old cabinetry reminiscent of times past. We walked through a maze of alleys lined with vendors of various wares toward an old Buddhist shrine which unfortunately had burned down and has been replaced by a temporary structure - but still interesting. From there we moved to the Dutch Old Town and walked the old plaza surrounded by administrative buildings from the time of Dutch rule. We then drove to PIK Avenue - wow what a difference. This is modern and organized section of the city vastly different from the ramshackle old city with its dense population and heavy traffic. This is where you'll find the Pagoda shown in the ad for this tour. Lastly, we visited the fish market. For me it was the most interesting part of the tour because it was different from most other markets I've visited in Asia. A huge market brimming with all kinds of fish of both fresh and saltwater. Trucks were constantly arriving with new catch. Others were leaving loaded with their purchases. Thousands of vendors, lots of activity. A visual feast. Our guide. Borneo was entertaining and showed us a good time.

Very interesting and informative tour. The guide Haider was very knowledgeable and friendly with excellent English. The fish market experience was something different and well worth doing but maybe don’t wear your best shoes! Restaurant then cooks your seafood you choose. Yummy! Overall I would highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I had only an afternoon in Jakarta before heading to Bali and were able to book this tour on short notice. Communications with the company were prompt and direct. Our guide, Ms Enok arrived promptly at the agreed upon time at our hotel. The driver, Rishwan, did a great job navigating us thru the busy streets. Ms Enok was delightful and an excellent guide. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend Enok and this tour!
