(Auf Anfrage) Die Altstadt von Mykonos (Chora) wird Sie mit ihrer absoluten Schönheit und ihrem Stil beeindrucken. Die Stadt Mykonos, von den Einheimischen Chora genannt, ist ein traditionelles kykladisches Dorf, das um eine Bucht herum gebaut wurde. Autos sind im Herzen der Siedlung den größten Teil des Tages nicht erlaubt, was den Spaziergang durch die labyrinthischen Straßen besonders angenehm macht, insbesondere am frühen Morgen.
Die Küstensiedlung Agios Ioannis liegt auf der Südwestseite der Insel, 5 km von Mykonos-Stadt entfernt. In dieser Gegend wurden Szenen aus dem Film Shirley Valentine gedreht.

Choulakia Beach in Mykonos ist bekannt für seine einzigartigen, glatten Kiesel und kristallklares Wasser. Es ist ein geschütztes Gebiet und bietet eine ruhige, unberührte Landschaft, perfekt für Naturliebhaber und einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang.
Der Leuchtturm oder Pharos Armenistis wacht seit 1891 wie ein Wächter über das Gebiet. Der Leuchtturm Armenistis (Faros Armenistis) steht in seiner Stille als Hommage an die reiche Seefahrtsgeschichte der Insel Mykonos, ist aber auch heute noch voll funktionsfähig. Er befindet sich im nordwestlichen Teil der Insel, in der Gegend von Fanari, etwa 6,5 Kilometer von Chora (Mykonos-Stadt) an der Nordküstenstraße der Insel entfernt, und überblickt den Abschnitt des glitzernd blauen Wassers zwischen Mykonos und der Nachbarinsel Tinos.
Agios Sostis in Mykonos gehört aufgrund seiner Lage zu den ruhigsten Stränden der Insel, etwas abseits der lauten Strände im Süden von Mykonos. Es ist ein unberührtes Gebiet ohne jegliche Annehmlichkeiten, eine Eigenschaft, die den Besuchern ein Gefühl völliger Freiheit vermittelt. Auf dem Weg zum Strand sehen Sie die Kirche von Agios Sostis mit ihrer unvergleichlichen Schönheit.
Das Kloster Paleokastro in Mykonos liegt auf einem Hügel in der Nähe von Ano Mera, dem zweiten Dorf von Mykonos, an einem der grünsten Flecken der Insel. Es besteht aus einem Nonnenkloster (Frauenkloster) und stammt aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Seine Architektur ist typisch kykladisch. I
Ano Mera in Mykonos ist nach Chora (Hauptort) das zweitgrößte Dorf und eines der ältesten Dörfer der Insel. Es ist ein ruhiges Dorf, in dem die Einheimischen ihrem Alltag nachgehen, ohne von Touristenmassen gestört zu werden, wie es in der Hauptstadt der Fall ist. In der Nähe von Ano Mera liegt das Kloster Panagia Tourliani, dessen Hauptkirche eine hervorragende Sammlung von Ikonen eines kretischen Malers sowie heilige Gefäße und Gewänder beherbergt. Der schöne Glockenturm und der Marmorbrunnen liegen im Innenhof und sind sehenswert. Ano Mera beherbergt auch einige Tavernen entlang des Hauptplatzes, in denen Sie traditionelle Gerichte zu einem normalen Preis probieren können. Cafés und Konditoreien liegen ebenfalls rund um den Platz.
Der Bau des Klosters wurde 1542 von zwei Priestern errichtet und nach der Darstellung der allerseligsten Jungfrau Maria benannt. Die Architektur des Gebäudes ist sehr beeindruckend, mit einem weiß getünchten Äußeren und einer farbigen Kuppel. Ein wunderschöner Marmorbrunnen liegt im Hof vor der Kirche. Im Innenraum trifft man auf eine beeindruckende hölzerne Ikonostase (Altarblende), die 1775 von florentinischen Künstlern angefertigt wurde.
Divounia, das von einigen Einheimischen „Venusbrüste“ genannt wird – sie sehen aus wie Brüste. Es ist ein Gebiet, das früher eine kleine Fischersiedlung war, das, was auf Mykonos einem Fischerdorf am nächsten kommt! An den Morgen, unabhängig von der Jahreszeit, kann man dort viele authentische Fischerbilder machen, die man an Orten wie Mykonos selten sieht und von denen man vielleicht nicht einmal glaubt, dass es sie auf Mykonos gibt.

We wanted to see the island on our first full day. This tour was perfect. He took us to the places that were highlights as well as some other great stopping points for pictures. It was tailored to leave out a spot or two that we were visiting later in our visit. However, he made sure to show us his own favorite spots on Mykonos. Do not miss out on the Lighthouse and being able to have such a nice and professional guide customize a tour. Excellent experience!
Alex was a fantastic guide who truly wanted to make sure the experience matched everything we were hoping for. He even stopped and bought us a coffee and a bottle of water as well. My husband and I booked this tour at 11 pm the night before our visit to Mykonos. That being said, we weren't expecting too much. Our tour guide Perry was very nice. We were 15 minutes late because there was a line to get off our cruise ship to get a tender to the island. He was very gracious about it and let us know that he had another tour starting at 11, so he would have to cut the tour short which, of course, we understood. We chose a 2 hour tour, so he drove us all around the island to the different neighborhoods and stopped at all the best picture spots. We had the added bonus that he was a professional photographer and indeed our pictures from Mykonos are some of the best from our 2 week trip! We did feel he was speeding on the streets in between stops, but we think it was due to our being late and the amount of traffic in the popular areas which was significant. We also got stuck behind an ATV tour which delayed us. He didn't get into the history of the island, which is always interesting to us, but he was young and maybe that is not everyone's cup of tea. Aside from that, we had a beautiful day in Mykonos and got to see most of the island thanks to our tour!

The tour operator/ driver was a wonderful informative driver. The island itself does not need a full 4/5 hours unless you are dropped off at a beach location. Overall recommend but value for the tour is a bit on the higher end !

We would like to clarify that the island offers far more to explore than can be covered in just a few hours, and many visitors find that even 4–5 hours is not enough to fully appreciate it. During your visit, a considerable part of the available time was spent at a local taverna by personal choice, which naturally limited the time dedicated to sightseeing and exploring the island. For this reason, we feel it may be difficult to fully assess whether 4–5 hours on the island is too much time, as the tour was not experienced in its entirety as most guests choose to do. Fortis gave us an amazing tour of his island Mykonos! His ability to navigate all of the narrow roads was so good, as he has lived here his whole life. We saw the light house, got our feet in the water at a beautiful beach and went to a gorgeous monastery. Fotis even treated us to refreshments at his favorite bakery and the coins that we would need for the bathroom. Highly recommend this private tour where he were picked up and dropped off right from our hotel 😀👍
