Mt. Rinjani 2D1N Senaru-Kraterrand

We did the 2D/1N summit trek with Ris, an excellent guide! The hike was tough, but he kept us going with unlimited snacks! I would also like to thank our porters who helped set up the tents and prepared the delicious food! Would recommend this organisation.

A great experience, thanks to Rudi who was our guide, very patient, a good listener, very funny and who transmits great energy (which is necessary for the climb!). Thanks to all the team, especially the porters who had all the equipment and food for us. I can only recommend this company for this trek. Thanks to Rudi, the boss!

We booked the 2d1n private tour starting from Senaru village to the crater rim. We read a lot of reviews about how hard it was, but it was way more easy than expected! The route from Senaru village is definitely the easiest way to get to the rim and has amazing views of both the summit and the beautiful lake! We really like the fact that this route is less crowded and less touristic. While everybody is walking in line trying to get to the summit, we were enjoying the calmness and peace of the Senaru route. We were very lucky to have the best guide: Rudi and his porters: Schu and Alec. They were very friendly and funny and took good care of us. There was plenty of food being served during the breaks and we even had the honour to be the first ones to try their new recipe: fried Beng Beng. ;-) We were also the first ones to arrive at the crater, which was quite nice. Thanks Rudi! Meanwhile, Schu and Alec had found us the BEST camping spot with amazing views and less wind. We had so much fun with these 3 guys! We definitely recommend booking a private tour with Jou. We even had a pick-up at Tetebatu and drop-off at Gili Air with a private boat. Before leaving to Gili we had a quick shower at the office which was much needed. ;-) / Look no further, this is the best quality you will get! 10 out of 10.

Jou arranged a very well organized trip with flawless logistics from airport pickup, hike, meals and drop off at the port for our ongoing journey. The guide, Lim, spoke English well and attended to our needs. The porters are so strong, organized and kind. They provided us with excellent meals albeit the portions were too big! The guide and porters kept us safe. I would recommend this tour group they were very responsible and capable. However, this hike is not easy, be prepared with the right clothing and know this is not a walk in the park.

We had such an awesome time hiking Mt. Rinjani with rody as our guide for two days. Surprisingly, we didn't book a private tour but ended up being the only ones in our group, which was cool. The porters were amazing - they carried all our stuff and made sure we were well taken care of. Our tents and sleeping bags were clean, and we had delicious cooked meals for each meal. After our hike, Jou Trekking arranged a private car to take us to Kuta Lombok, and it was all included in the package price. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would totally recommend Jou Trekking

Excellent service, great food (vegetarian options too and snacks). The entire trip was very comfortable- they provide everything literally. Benji was awesome. He took care of everything we needed and made sure that our hike was completely safe. He was also singing Bollywood songs to entertain us (as we are from India). We really had a lot of fun. Highly recommend taking this trip with benji and jou trekking.

Incredible experience! Very good communication with the Jou Trekking team. Our guide, Lim, was awesome, funny, informative and attentive to our needs. The team was very careful with this waste which is really a good thing. We also ate very well, thanks again to the Jou trekking team!

From the first moment the agency provides you with everything, they come to pick you up wherever you are in Lombok, they give you breakfast then they take you to the office (a place where you can store your large backpacks), and from there they take you to the beginning of the trek. Our guide Benji has been very good, he has been very patient and has known how to handle the different levels that were in the group. The porters, I must say, are on another level, seeing them come up loaded with everything and wearing flip flops is amazing, they always have a smile on their face and are willing to help you at all times. By the way, all the meals have been delicious. We only have to talk about our trekking experience and what to say... it has been incredible to be able to see dusk and dawn from the crater ring. We highly recommend it!

I did this trek with my guide Eddie and 3 other travellers and it was a fantastic experience. Not for the faint hearted but if you're willing to put some effort in, it's loads of fun. The porters are terrific and they really ensure you are filled up with food, water and sugary drinks. You will not go malnourished. They meals are delicious and the porters and the guides friendliness even more outstanding. The staff at the joutrekking office were very helpful making sure I had everything I needed and then made sure I made it to my next stop (Bangsal) safe and sound. In their words: "It is our responsibility to get you there safe". If you're going to climb Rinjani do it with Joutrekking!

We went on the 2-day, 1-night tour! It was a tough journey, but the stunning scenery made it all worthwhile. Lim and the porters provided invaluable support, and their hospitality was exceptional. The food was also fantastic! Huge thanks to Lim and the porters - we couldn't have done it without you!
