Das Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center ist das Hauptbesucherzentrum des Nationalparks. Das Gebäude ist leicht zu finden und empfängt Besucher vom oberen Parkplatz aus. Dieser Bereich des Parks ist ganzjährig geöffnet. Zu jeder Jahreszeit gibt es etwas zu sehen und zu erleben.

Mit einer Höhe von 6.400 Fuß ist Sunrise der höchste Punkt, der mit dem Fahrzeug im Mount-Rainier-Nationalpark erreicht werden kann. Im Sommer sind die Bergwiesen voller Wildblumen. An klaren Sommertagen bietet Sunrise atemberaubende Ausblicke auf den Mount Rainier und den Emmons-Gletscher. Sunrise Point bietet einen nahezu 360-Grad-Blick auf die umliegenden Täler, den Mount Rainier und andere Vulkane in der Cascade Range wie den Mount Adams. The guide provided very little information about Mount Rainier, making it feel like a basic shuttle service rather than a guided tour. The lack of professionalism was disappointing.
