Bethlehem ist eine der wichtigsten christlichen Stätten in den Heiligen Ländern, da es eine der ältesten Kirchen der Welt, die Geburtskirche, enthält. Eine Führung durch die Kirche wird ebenso angeboten wie die Kirche der Heiligen Katharina und die Kirche der Milchgrotte. Dann setzen wir unsere Reise nach Beit Sahour, der Stadt des Hirten, fort. Beit Sahour ist eine der Städte mit der höchsten christlichen Bevölkerung. Wir werden die Kapelle des Hirten besuchen, wo die Engel zuerst die Geburt von Jesus ankündigten. Zuletzt gehen wir zum Berg der Versuchung und zum Kloster St. Georg. Wie in den Evangelien erwähnt, führte der Heilige Geist Jesus in die Wüste. Eine vollständige Führung durch die Geburtskirche. Die Kirche ist eine der ältesten funktionierenden Kirchen, die es heute gibt. Die erste Kirche wurde vom römischen Kaiser Konstantin im 4. Jahrhundert n. Chr. Über der Grotte errichtet, in der Maria Jesus zur Welt brachte. Die Kirche befindet sich dort, wo Jesus in Bethlehem geboren wurde.
Die Katharinenkirche ist ein Franziskanerkloster. Es soll an der Stelle errichtet worden sein, an der Christus vor der hl. Katharina von Alexandrien erschienen war und an der er Anfang des 4. Jahrhunderts ihr Martyrium voraussagte.
Die Milchgrottenkirche ist der Ort, an dem die Heilige Familie während des Massakers an den Unschuldigen Zuflucht fand, bevor sie nach Ägypten fliehen konnte. Der Name leitet sich aus der Geschichte ab, dass ein "Tropfen Milch" der Jungfrau Maria auf den Boden der Höhle fiel und seine Farbe in Weiß änderte.
Die Kapelle des Hirtenfeldes. Sie markiert den Ort, an dem die Engel zum ersten Mal die Geburt Christi ankündigten. Die Shepherds 'Field Chapel ist ein religiöses Gebäude der katholischen Kirche in der Gegend von Beit Sahur südöstlich von Bethlehem im Westjordanland in Palästina. Die Kapelle markiert den Ort, an dem die Engel zum ersten Mal die Geburt Christi ankündigten.
Die Höhle des Hieronymus befindet sich tatsächlich unter der Kirche St. Katharina und kann auch von dort aus betreten werden. Der heilige Hieronymus, ein dalmatinischer Priester (345-420 n. Chr.), übersetzte einen Großteil des Alten Testaments aus dem Hebräischen und Griechischen in das lateinische „Vulgata“.
Der Orden der Heiligen Jungfrau Maria vom Berg Karmel hat keinen einzelnen Gründer, sondern wurde von einer Gruppe von Einsiedlern gegründet, die in der Nähe der „Quelle des Elia“ auf dem Berg Karmel leben und zwei Wurzeln ihrer Spiritualität haben: den Propheten Elia und die Jungfrau Maria. Zu Beginn des 13. Jahrhunderts erhielten die Eremiten eine Lebensregel, die vom Heiligen Albert, dem Patriarchen von Jerusalem, verfasst wurde.
Tell es-Sultan, auch bekannt als Tel Jericho oder Ancient Jericho, ist die Stätte des antiken und biblischen Jericho und heute eine von der UNESCO nominierte archäologische Stätte im Westjordanland, zwei Kilometer nördlich des Zentrums von Jericho

Rachel's Tomb ist der Ort, der als Grabstätte der Matriarchin Rachel verehrt wird.
Das Kloster Mar Saba stammt aus dem fünften Jahrhundert. Es wurde von Saint Sabas gegründet und im Laufe der Jahre umfassend erweitert und befestigt. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Frauen das Kloster nicht betreten dürfen. Jeder wird einen Panoramablick auf die Website genießen.
Der Berg der Versuchung liegt etwa 3 km nordwestlich von Jericho, etwa 58 km östlich von Jerusalem in Israel. Der Berg liegt in der judäischen Wüste und überragt das Jordantal. Nachdem Jesus von Johannes dem Täufer getauft worden war, zog er sich in die Wüste zurück, um zu meditieren und zu fasten. Es wird angenommen, dass dieser Berg, auf dem Jesus lebte, die 40 Tage und 40 Nächte der spirituellen Kontemplation verbracht hat. Sie können die zur Verfügung gestellte Seilbahn nehmen und einen Blick auf die Stadt werfen. (Jeweils 60 NIS optional)

The view was so exiting and we took so many photos and upload by Google the city ie. Jerusalem was very much tricky means all buildings are same white color then we walk long and can't back to the church we were Kidanemeret Ethiopian church then we meet an American lady who were out for dog walk she helped us to find our way home and we took picture with her now I want to say Thanks!!! our view was Korontos Monastry The Tomb of Alazar, Betelihem ,the St. Marry and Elizabet home ,Getesemani, the home of Martha and Mariam her sister and mauls etc....
Very good address for visits accompanied by guides who are very attentive to groups. We visited the monasteries with a very pleasant driver.
INCREDIBLE tour! See where Jesus was born in the manger and so many incredible ancient sites! My husband and I took my 81 year old mom whose dream it is to see the site where Jesus was born and all the religious sites. she is not athletic and has a bad foot. She did marvelously but there is a lot of uphill climbing and slippery steps. Our guide Elias always looked out for her and kept lovingly telling us to take our time. He was so kind to our group. We loved it and our tour guides were incredible. I can’t speak more highly of Elias and Mohammad. Elias was especially funny, charming, and taught us a lot about the history and never got political. He has ancestral roots in the land and was well versed in the history. Elias realized we had booked a tour that would not be good for my mom (monastery tour) and also that women aren’t allowed in anyway, so he suggested we switch and he made it happen for us! We are so glad to see Mount temptation, dip into river Jordan, and see the spring of Elijah. However old Jericho was tough and if i had to do it all over again i wouldn’t do it because it was 100 degrees and the steps perilous for my mom. I wish Mohammad warned us about that. Otherwise an INCREDIBLE TOUR!
In the morning I spent it in group with about thirty people to make the biggest religious tourist sites of travel. In the afternoon I wanted to visit the monasteries and this is what was planned on my journey. No one but me had taken that option. So I ended up with a Private guide who made me live my best day of my life in Palestine. I don't have his first name but I will remember all my life the color of his eyes, the warmth of his heart, his generosity and the incredible memories he put in my heart. Thank you 🙏😇
A well organized tour with outstanding Guides. Bethlehem is a lovely ancient city and the countryside around Saint George Monestary beautiful. We were warmly welcomed at the West Bank check point by our Palestinian Guides. A change of vehicle is required - Israeli vehicles can go into the West Bank but West Bank/Palestinian vehicles/guides cannot travel into Israel. A full day of sightseeing but do not expect to get into the Church of the Navity as the line ups are hours long.

Great experience, all recommendations, guides from Eliah tours were excellent, expesialy thanks to Mr Ziad who drove us safely all day and show us many beautiful places. We tasted falafels, hummus, zaatar, sweets and jericho bananas. We hope to visit again.

Can't give anything but a great review for this tour. I changed the plan slightly with the help of the guides, who were helpful, knowledgeable, funny and inclusive. I've read reviews of some tours being too political etc. But I and our group found Boaz very open but respectful and not political, in fact spiritually enlightening would be a good explanation, he qouted from Bilble(s), Koran and Torah. We even got the Our Father recited in Aramaic, the lanuage Jesus would have spoken. The amount of food tasting, sweets and coffee supplied, we were brought into Bethlehem with open arms!! One of the childern of a really charming family on the tour, kept calling it "the best tour ever", they had done several tours already this week!! We were immersed in the history and life in Bethlehem from long before Jesus was born to the modern day! Jerico and the baptismal site were items in there own right, things and places I wanted to experience, but we were spoilt in Bethlehem, even getting into 2 grotto's; the Church of the Nativity and the grotto in St Catherine's where St Jerome translated the bibles and was originally buried. We were very lucky, most of the time you don't get into one grotto with the crowds or booked for masses, to get the 2 was special. The tour was excellent, as I really wanted to see the Greek Orthodox monastery - I did not like the first guide injecting one sided politics into the tour - many were uncomfortable, otherwise the tour was very good.

the visit to the Nativity Basilica is quite complete, too bad there is no time to visit the city, the souk and the Bethlehem market Shepherd's Sanctuary and milk grotto can be lightened the comments on the separation wall were a nice surprise, we were seduced by the sites of the monasteries good support by organizing guides, available professional, and adaptable very positive results
