Wenn ja, entdecken wir die Southern Ridges, eine Reihe von Hügeln und Parks, die den Kent Ridge Park, den Hort Park, den Telok Blangah Hill Park, den Mount Faber Park und das Labrador Nature Reserve verbinden. Während dieses Ausflugs wandern wir zu den Henderson Waves, einer Fußgängerbrücke, die ein tiefes Tal in 36 Metern Tiefe überspannt. Wir fahren dann weiter zum Faber Point, dem höchsten Punkt im Mount Faber Park. Von den dortigen Beobachtungsbereichen haben wir einen Panoramablick auf die Stadt, die südliche Region Singapurs und die südlichen Inseln. Diese Wanderung führt Sie durch einen Sekundärwald mit einer vielfältigen Flora und Fauna. Halten Sie beim Spaziergang entlang der Baumwipfel Ausschau nach der orientalischen Peitschennatter, die sich auf den Ästen sonnt, dem Ruf der Zikade oder dem Gesang des strohköpfigen Bulbul. Überqueren Sie eine erhöhte Brücke, die den Adinandra Belukar durchschneidet, eine besondere Art von Sekundärwald, in dem sich der Wald nach erschöpfender landwirtschaftlicher Ausbeutung regeneriert. Halten Sie Ausschau nach der reichen Flora und Fauna, wie dem strohköpfigen Bulbul, dem Weberameisennest oder der orientalischen Peitschennatter zwischen den Baumkronen. Ich werde Ihnen auch die Arten von Wildtieren mitteilen, die in Singapur zu finden sind.
Der Terrassengarten besteht aus einer Reihe halbkreisförmiger Terrassen, die sich auf der Spitze des Hügels Telok Blangah befinden. Von hier aus können Sie einen atemberaubenden 360-Grad-Blick auf Singapur genießen. Wenn Sie Glück haben, können wir vielleicht ein Meer aus rosa Bougainvillea blühen sehen.
Die Henderson Waves ist eine Fußgängerbrücke, die sich 36 Meter tiefer über ein tiefes Tal erstreckt. Das einzigartige wellenartige Design der Henderson Waves sorgt für einen ungewöhnlichen Anblick und einen berühmten Fotospot.
Faber Point ist der höchste Punkt auf dem Mount Faber. Von den Aussichtspunkten hier haben wir einen Panoramablick auf die Stadt, den südlichen Teil Singapurs und die südlichen Inseln. Bei gutem Wetter können wir Marina Bay Sands schon von weitem sehen! Von diesen Aussichtspunkten aus werde ich auch über das Leben des durchschnittlichen Singapurers, die Entwicklung des Wohnungsbaus in Singapur und die Bedeutung der maritimen Industrie für Singapur berichten.

Was an amazing tour, our tour guide was Keith and he was very friendly and very patient. Always waited for us to catch up when we were going up the stairs. He was also very informative about plants and trees we passed. Absolutely recommend anyone taking this tour with Keith! He is the best!!,
Fantastic morning to hike the Southern Ridges! Keith was happy to spot the common hill mynah and thanks to Jill, the bronzeback snake. Peter and Jill are a lovely jovial couple. Enjoy your stay in Singapore :)

Fine day for a walk in the Southern Ridges. Keith was happy to spot not one, but two of our native green crested lizard together with you! And also the greater racket-tailed drongo. Julie and Paul are polite and happy to share their stories. Take care and safe flight home :)
Keith was a fabulous guide - very passionate and, as a Singapore local, very happy to share his knowledge of local life and culture, as well as the plant life we saw along the way. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone keen to see the green and largely unseen part of Singapore that lies so close to the centre. A reasonable degree of fitness is a prerequisite. While Keith takes plenty of time to stop and explain things along the way, getting up Mt Faber takes some energy!

This is a very well organised trip and Keith, our guide, provided very professional and clear communication via Whats App prior to the event, even adjusting the start from 8:30am to 9:30 am to accommodate our request due to our jetlag. The starting point at Hort Park office is easily reached by taxi for a reasonable price. On the morning of our walk the heavens opened and it started to rain heavily but this did not dampen our experience as Keith was really enthusiastic and professional and talked to us about a whole range of life, history and culture in Singapore. The walk itself is easy but there are some steep bits and some steps to navigate so should be borne in mind by those with mobility needs. The walk enabled us to see the nature that surrounds the city and when we reached the top of Mount Faber this afforded us with a brilliant view. Fortunately the rain had stopped at this point so we could see for miles. Keith was really entertaining and had a great sense of humour. He speaks really good English and was also very interested in what's happening around the world so we enjoyed good overall conversation as well as learning lots about the Singaporean way of life. Along the way he invited us to taste local produce from the area, including the notorious Durian fruit which has a very specific smell and taste and is not for the faint hearted! The end of the walk is located at the Mount Faber cable car station and I had booked a separate ticket for the cable car in order to combine the end of the walk with a trip over to Sentosa Island. I would recommend this combination to make a full day. Keith showed us the entrance to the station which was very kind. Thankyou Keith for being a great guide. A perfect way to amble away a rainy Sunday morning in Singapore.

Keith our local guide walked us through Hort Park , Henderson Wave Bridge and Mt Faber look out at a comfortable scenic pace. Keith was able to inform and answer our questions regarding the trees and plant growth, history of the area and knew where to take some lovely memorable photos along our walk.
