We were on and organised trip. The guide was very knowledgeable about the Mostar area being from the City. He was very entertaining and caring ref my wife who has a stick to walk with. Very knowledgeable about the 1991/1993 civil war and related family history about leaving to get away from the war. Really enjoyed the day. The Waterfalls are beautiful but if you suffer from li.ited mobility be aware that the little train that runs up and down every 10 to 20 minutes only goes so far then you have to cope with quite steep steps and crowded conditions going down. All in all a lovely day. Tony and Marie
We booked a day trip to Mostar via Get your Guide and learnt that in future, you should always check the review of the operator on Google, as “Get your guide” is just the platform for all tour operators. And they position only the good reviews in the front. First of all, our bus was late for 5 mins, not a lot but quite a lot when you wait under 12 degree at 6am, drizzling and not sheltered. it sounds great when they pick you up at 22 locations, our bus was already half loaded when we board and yet we stopped another 6 times, took about 43 mins in total before we head out. Not sure what time the guys before us starts waiting. The best part is at the custom. Only 1 officer handle our bus of about 60+ people, you need to get off the bus and stood under the rain to queue. The whole process took about 30 mins, you are lucky if you are at the front of the queue. 20 mins coffee/ toilet break. For ladies there are only 6 cubicles, if your bus is the only bus at that time you have to choose between having a coffee or go to toilet cos both have long queue and you won’t be the only bus. Again, unless you are one of the first to get off the bus you can have both. Rosa our guide is not the typical cheerful and knowledgeable type. Very strong ascent (Period =pair-hee-odd), history are reading from script, (think audio book) slightly worse than a recording because of the repetition. She repeats twice at least in everything she says like a broken record, and thrice on things that’s important to her, ie. Tax and entrance fees in cash only. On the contrary our local guide in Mostar Aidon is so much better, huge contrast. Rosa also didn’t manage the group well. People were seating in different places and personal belongings were moved around. She doesn’t care. Waterfall doesn’t worth $10, if you have a choice. Overall I think this tour is poorly managed. The guide played an important role.
Long day but mostar old town and waterfalls were beautiful. Our guide was fantastic so knowledgeable and interesting telling us all about bosnia and herz, Croatia and former Yugoslavia which she had experience of living in both. Would be good to note that you can go swimming at waterfalls although a bit cold at time of year we went but others wre in swimming. Bit of a pain going through border control twice on way there and twice on way back. However still a great day and we'll worth it!
It was a very fun trip. Our guide Marie was very informative and it wasn’t too hot. The trip was very long from Cavtat…..We left at 6 AM and arrived back approximately 7:30 PM. But g coach transport was fine!
The places were beautiful and the tour guide was great it is just a very long day and a lot of time on the coach. It would be helpful if In the information pack you advise people to take cash as I had zero as used my card everywhere as we had to pay 3euros tourist tax and then 10 euros into the waterfall which I thought would already be included. Then all the places in Mostar only took cash for souvenirs and drinks so I had to go all day without as much as getting a drink. I withdrew money in Mostar but as it is Bosnian money I got just enough for food and the waterfalls and with a fee I didn’t withdraw anymore. Had I known before hand that you can use euros I would have withdrew before I came to the trip. Overall I don’t think I’d recommend due to it been a full day on a bus especially if you are picked up in cavtat as it’s 5.5 hours after all the pick ups are done to you getting to Mostar and it’s a long day.
Fantastic day trip , picked up and dropped off from cavtat 6am/ 7pm , comfortable coach , air con , very good driver and even better guide , also handed me back my sunglasses I left on the previous days trip to Montenegro 😎 ..
Took this trip to Mostar and Kravice Waterfall! Both were amazing experiences! Definitely not to be missed! Such an enjoyable tour, made even better with a very informative guide/ driver called Luca. He provided information continuously throughout the whole trip! Had plenty of time to explore both venues. The colour of the water in Mostar and at Kravice will remain in my mind forever! Mostar had lots of great places to dine and the food is delicious! Wear comfortable shoes because the path to the bridge and beyond is very hard to walk on. There are raised cobbles and the bridge can also be slippery! The Turkish House is also interesting shpukd you want to visit it. Some tours include it as this one does otgers not but do try to go! Overall its a great day out lasting about 10 hours. Highly recommend!
To start,do not believe the start time if travelling from Cavtat. Even though it clearly stated an 0700 pick up from our hotel,it was 0600. We were on the small group tour. The guide was friendly and organised. On the way she suggested we had a bit less time in Mostar and a bit more at the waterfalls. As no one on the bus knew any different we went with the suggestion. I advise if you do the tour, have longer in Mostar and a lot less at the falls ( see comments below). We thought Mostar old town was lovely with a lot of history and the guide was very informative. However,he walked so far in front of the group that at times we lost him in the crowds of people. But,by the time the tour finished, and a quick lunch,we had to rush back to the bus giving no time at all to investigate the town further. We arrived at the falls, which are fantastic. But the beauty of the falls is totally spoiled by the bars, restaurants , loud music and people doing the conga to make it worth spending more than 15 minutes there. In summary, travel very well organised, but given the length of the day,13 hours, we would not recommend this tour unless you are much, much closer.
Excellent tour. Really enjoyed it and enjoyed Marija's knowledge and friendly nature. Mostar is a fascinating town. Busy place but very enjoyable.
Long but very interesting day. Got pick up from the hotel at 6:00 and got back at 20:00. Our guide, Maria, was full of information and told us about the history and present of Bosnia and Hertzegovina, Kroatia and times in Jugoslavia before it broke down. The waterfalls were amaizing and city of old Mostard beautiful. I can highly recomend this activity for your holiday.
