Moorschuhwanderung

Beschreibung

It was a very nice and relaxing bog hiking trip around one of the numerous estonian bogs, many thanks to our guide Katri! Highly recommend for a unique outdoor experience - the bogshoe trip is not hard in a good weather and the views are stunning.
We did a bogshoe walk with guide Marilin Pehka. Marilin is a true nature woman, in love and married to nature! She not only knew the route perfectly to walk safely through the swamp, but also gave interesting lectures on ecology along the way. A great experience!!!
We booked the Estonia's Bogs and Sauna Tour with Helen. Helen picked up our family of three from the hotel in Tallinn and drove us to a pristine bog about an hour outside of the city. November has a reputation for no sun, but we lucked out and had a beautiful sunny day. We are an active family that loves to hike and Helen adjusted our itinerary to include climbing two observation towers out in the bog. Helen is a confident and knowledgeable guide and answered all of our questions. (we had a lot). Helen provided hot tea and pumpkin bread at our mid-hike break. At the end of our hike we experienced a traditional farm sauna. The sauna is located in a resort that offered snacks and beer. Our son enjoyed his pasta dish and we enjoyed our beer! The highlight of the trip was jumping from the hot sauna into a cold pond. It was exhilarating and not to be missed!
Thank you! We are glad you enjoyed!
Great Experience, very friendly and competent guide, got to learn a lot about the bog and its plants. A must if you like the outdoors.
Thank you!
We did the Bog Shoe Hiking Tour with Prangli Travel in January 2023. It was a fantastic experience walking on the Estonian Bog. Our tour guides Katie and Epp were extremely knowledgeable about the local area. The combination of the snow and the greenery on the frozen bog made the Bog Hike a truly fascinating and memorable experience. I would strongly recommend using Prangli Travel and to venture out of the city of Tallinn to do this tour to see the beautiful countryside/nature that Estonia has to offer.
