Our Fortitude Valley crime tour yesterday was made memorable thanks to Sam, our fantastic guide. Her storytelling brought every character and location to life, and the historical photos she shared added so much depth. I loved seeing how the places and people looked in the past — it made the whole experience more engaging. Thank you for an entertaining afternoon walk.

This was an interesting walking tour of what used to be the crime area of Brisbane. Our guide was informative and certainly knew the facts of what sounded like a bad time to be living in Brisbane. The sites are not what they used to be and the photos provided were helpful in giving a better idea of how things looked in the past. The 1.5 hours was a good length of time to be walking around.

Great tour of the Valley with Sam. Growing up in Brisbane in the 80s and 90s the Valley had a bad wrap and now I know why. I was too young to understand the news at the time but this tour gave me some background and filled out some details. As a local I highly recommend this experience.

Had a great time on the Brisbane Crime Tour in Fortitude Valley yesterday! Sam, our guide, was fantastic—super knowledgeable and made the tour both engaging and entertaining. Loved hearing the story of Les Bubbles and its unexpected connection to Brisbane’s shady past. The unresolved murder at the Royal George was a bit eerie, and learning about the Whiskey Au Go Go fire was heartbreaking—15 lives lost in such a tragic event. It was fascinating to hear how The Beat Club started and the role the Bellino brothers played in Brisbane’s underground scene. Brought back memories of sneaking into illegal gambling spots as a curious 16-year-old—who knew I was brushing up against local history! Highly recommend this tour if you’re into true crime and Brisbane’s darker side.

Great tour with excellent guide. Lots of information, videos and photos about Brisbane's crimes and murders in Fortitude Valley. Was stunned to see Whiskey Au Go Go site and the plaque. Was great to be reminded of places that once existed in the Valley.

I have done a few tours through Crime Tours and Historic Australia and this Fortitude Valley Crime Tour was an excellent example of a great tour. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the history and the pace of the tour. Molly was fabulous and kept us very entertained. A really good way to explore the valley for a couple of hours in the afternoon and I liked learning about the Moonlight state and actually being in the mentioned places. Really brought it to life. Logistically the tour finished at a good time to then get dinner and be out before club goers came out.

Sam was incredible. Her knowledge of the topic was amazing. I have lived in south east Queensland all of my life and grew up in the 80s hearing the news and some of the stories. It was great to see where these incidents happened and hear the more detailed story. Very well presented. Enjoyable experience My friend and I finished the night with steak at Bubbles.

What an intriguing history our capital city has. We heard some of the darker stories of the 1980s that occurred in Fortitude Valley. Crime, corruption and murder! What's not to like. Our guide was knowledgeable on the subject and was able to answer questions posed by the group. Looking forward to signing up for another tour in the series in the near future.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The information was really interesting and at the right level to inform but not overwhelm the audience (even our teenager maintained interest!). The guide was really engaging and clearly enjoyed sharing the stories. I loved that she suggested online resources if we were interested in digging deeper into any of the stories.
