Monteverde Vogelbeobachtung und Wildtiertour

Diese Kombination gibt uns die schöne Gelegenheit, das Hochland von Tilaran zu erkunden, wo wir den tropischen Nebelwald finden, in dem viele endemische Arten leben, die sich auf den Lebensraum spezialisiert haben und bei Tag oder Nacht aktiv sind. Die Tour besteht aus zwei Natural Walk Touren im Wald, eine bei Tag und die andere bei Nacht mit einem Naturalist Local Tourguide, wo Sie das Ökosystem dieses Hochlandes bei Tag und Nacht erkunden. Tagsüber nutzen wir die Wanderwege des Nebelwaldreservats Monteverde, eine gute Möglichkeit, um einen Großteil unserer Vögel wie Quetzal, auch Colibris-Tukane, neben den vielen Pflanzenarten wie Orchideen, Bromelien und Pilze zu beobachten. Nachts befinden wir uns im Refugio de Vida Silvestre, wo wir nach Säugetieren wie Olingos, Faultieren, Rotaugenfröschen, Inzesten und vielem mehr suchen.

Wir treffen uns an der Rezeption des Preserve, wo der Naturspaziergang für ca. 2,5 Stunden in der Tiefe des Nebelwaldes des Tilaran-Gebirges von Costa Rica beginnt
Der Treffpunkt ist die Rezeption, an der wir für zwei Stunden im Dunkeln des Tropenwaldes spazieren gehen, das beste Naturerlebnis, die beste Chance, Faultiere im natürlichen Lebensraum zu sehen

Overall, the value of the tour package was good. The night tour was more impressive than the day tour. The tour guide we originally hired, Johnny, had unfortunately been injured dirt-biking the previous evening. Communication was lacking- for the daytime tour, we had to ask a different tour operator how to find our guide. A sign with our name or his would have facilitated that. He was supposed to text us the address of the night tour but never did. Fortunately we had gotten information from the replacement guide. It was after trying to reach him through Viator, Facebook and WhatsApp for confirmation that he finally replied via WhatsApp after we had already left and were no longer connected to wifi. The daytime guide seemed very knowledgeable about plants but didn't have a lot to offer otherwise. He did find us a quetzal to mostly see through his scope. It was more like going on a hike with someone who answered our questions than going on a tour with a guide who was focused on sharing the glory of the cloud forest. We suspect Johnny's a more skilled tour guide. The night guide, on the other hand, seemed much more experienced than the morning guy. He started by asking each of us what our goal was for the night and we managed to see almost all of it, I think. Off the top of my head, we saw stick bugs, a few different birds including a keel/rainbow-billed toucan, vipers, a big lizard, a red-eyed tree frog, a sloth, and an armadillo.

Johnny was a great host and tour guide! Totally made us feel comfortable and gave us a great education along the way. He helped get some great photos too! I would def recommend using Johnny when in Monteverde. We saw a ton of wildlife and even ate some wild berries.

Johnny is a wonderful guide! Probably the best in monteverde. He was very personable and helpful during the trip, and went out of his way to arrange transportation! He is an amazing person, working towards giving back to his community by building a school for the children of his community. Johnny was very knowledgeable of the wildlife and greenery in the cloud forest, as well as history in monteverde. If you’re looking for the best guide in monteverde, look no further! Pura vida
