Die imposante Se-Kathedrale ist Lissabons berühmtestes religiöses Gebäude. Seit dem 12. Jahrhundert ist die Se-Kathedrale in Portugals Frühgeschichte verflochten und war das erste religiöse Gebäude, das von christlichen Kreuzfahrern aus dem 12. Jahrhundert errichtet wurde.
Sie wurde im 12. Jahrhundert von König Afonso Henriques gegründet und war dem Schutzpatron von Lissabon, dem heiligen Vinzenz von Saragossa, gewidmet. Obwohl es während des Erdbebens von 1755 schwer beschädigt wurde, stammt das heutige Gebäude aus dem 16. Jahrhundert.
Die Bauarbeiten begannen 1628 und wurden erst im 20. Jahrhundert fertiggestellt, so dass Obras de Santa Engrácia (wörtlich Die Werke von Saint Engrácia) zu einem portugiesischen Synonym für ein endloses Bauprojekt wurde.
Ein denkwürdiger Aussichtspunkt mit atemberaubendem Blick auf die Dächer von Alfama und den Fluss Tejo, nicht weit entfernt vom Saint Jorge Castle. Portas do Sol ist der Ort, an dem Sie Lissabon wirklich sehen und schätzen lernen können.

Tiago was amazing on the tuck tuck tour of Portugal. We would 100 percent recommend this to any of our friends visiting. Tiago become one of the amazing special locals of Portugal he was generous with his insights into the city regarding the culture of the local people. He took us to some critical viewing spots over the city where we can overlook the city. What we found a gem was his encouragement to see hidden treasures of Lisbon. He allowed us to immerse ourselves within the culture rather which we appreciated. His enthusiasm for the city was contagious. And we left feeling happy and content. We will tell all our friends about Tiago. He is amazing.
We had a fabulous tour yesterday in the very capable and knowledgeable hands of Tiago Netto. It was a packed 4 hours worth of absorbing many of the sights that Lisbon offers. From the amazing Churches to the Monument to the Discoveries. We also tasted the most delicious Pastel de Nata and not from the original pastry shop! Tiago also gave us some restaurant recommendations, one of which we followed up at lunchtime today. It was the best we have tasted In Lisbon. Thank you Tiago for a fun and informative afternoon.

We had the best time in Lisbon with Tiago as our tour guide. He arrived early to meet us and his TukTuk was comfortable and clean. He asked us what we wanted out of the tour, we told him, and he delivered. Being a native, he was able to provide a wonderful tour of the city (some popular sites and also some local non-tourist sites) with a lot of historical facts. Tiago gave us a great 2-hour tour! We told him the places we had already been, and he adjusted the route to show us new areas that we hadn't seen, and some of his own favorite places. He spoke good English and had lots of interesting stories to tell. He stopped in a few places for photos and at two shops. We didn't check prices for rentals on the street, so I'm not sure how their rates compare.
