Momo-, Dhalbhat- und Thukpa-Kochkurs, Nepal

Beschreibung

Absolutely amazing experience! This class was a true highlight of my time in Nepal. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and so passionate about sharing their culture and food. Making momos, dalbhat, and thukpa from scratch was fun, hands-on, and incredibly tasty. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and we all shared laughs while learning traditional recipes. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable Nepali experience!
Amazing ladies, amazing experience, amazing food! The best food dhalbhat ive tasted! I highly recommend this food tour for anyone who wants to get out of thamel and have a delicious experience.
We enjoyed the historical informations and traditons about Patan and Nepali culture. We liked it to go to the local market to buy fresh vegetables and meat. Was funny to cook with Ester and her colaborator. We've learned how to do momo, chicken curry and dhal bhat. We have discovered new spices. Great experience!!
It was very nice! Nice food, nice food, nice company! Only thing we were a little bit sad about is that alot of things were already done for us.
During our recent trip to Kathmandu, Nepal, I we just asked our local guide to take us to a nice Momo joint! We were a group of 8 and was hungry. He asked us whether we are looking for a highfi joint or an authentic joint! We opted for the second option! He took us to Mo:Mo Guru, which was 30 mts away from our spot. On the way, he called them up Momo Guru and ordered for 10 plates of Momos, all with different vegetarian stuffing!! Mo:Mo Guru is situated on the Maharajgunj Road, Kathmandu, 44600, Nepal! A small 15x15' place with just 3 tables! One corner was the Kitchen! About 7 varieties of vegetarian Momos were well distributed in each plate consisting of 10 steaming hot Momos! We understood that the traditional way they liberally add the 'Local Achaar' ( a thin chutney type made with sesame leaves) on top of hot Momos and serve. To make it more spicy, red hot achaar (like red chilli sauce) is added. We requested them to give both the achaar separately and added according to our requirements! It was so very yummy! Some of us could complete a plate and also had 4-5 more momos! The Momos there were Very tasty and filling. It was pocket friendly and also safe in our stomach!
Esther is both a great chef and guide! She took me to the market to buy our groceries for the class and gave so much explanation. Had an amazing time!
A lovely morning spent some of my Nepalese favourite dishes. Esther was very nice and the food we cooked was excellent. We went to the local market to buy some ingredients and then cooked one complete meal. This was my first experience and I strongly recommend it. It’s a good way to learn about local culture.
We had a fantastic time with Esther, learning to cook all those great dishes we had come to love during our 3 week stay jn Nepal. We not only learned about all the spices and how to cook the meals, but also about local culture. Esther was very patien showing us how to fold the doe for the different types of momos. Highly recommended.
We had an amazing time learning to cook Nepalese food, and it was by far the tastiest food of our trip. Thank you to Esther and her family for teaching us and welcoming us into their home.
Not only learning about how to make the food but also about the country , customs , educational system and importance of family.
