Moab Rivertrippers ~ Westwater Canyon "Ganztägiger" Raftingausflug

Mild to Wild, our white water excursion down westwater canyon with Durango River Trippers, was amazing. Mild, we meander through the insane geological rock formations of the westwater, the landscape is abstract something surreal, like being on another planet. The river is calm and majestic, you are in the presence of something magical to be assured. This is just a taste of what is to come, the anticipation mounts as we glide ever closer towards the rapids, we know they are there looming somewhere in the distance a dance with destiny awaits us. We know there's nothing to fear these are professional oarsman and the boats and equipment are the best money can buy, we are ready, bring on the Westwater! Wild, in no time it is upon us, the sound of the white water is deafening, we are paddling headlong into the fray, theses are big class 4 rapids and we are navigating 8,000 CFM of water, no turning back now, we are All IN ! wave after wave engulfing the the small vessel, we are immersed fully in the moment, the slightest hesitation could mean disaster, but we are confident in our orasman Zack, this is not his first rodeo and it certainly won't be his last. We skillfully navigate through the torrent , crashing through each rapid section of the Westwater one by one untill at last we we emerge on the other side unscathed. We are overcome with elation having shaken the dice of mortality and won, at this moment we truly know what it means to be alive. The High is still lingers, as the river unfolds before us into quite synchronicity, we embrace the calm as it carries us to are destination, enjoying some comradery while we reveal in the ecstasy of the experience.
