It was a relaxing day on the river. The water was very low so it was a slow float. Our daughter loved getting out of the boat to swim in the river as well as going down the little rapids at the end.
Wonderful experience, smooth float down the Colorado river with a few rapids included. Nice lunch served by the river
Our family had 4 kids, ages 10 and up. We were worried our trip would be too mellow with the low water level in the river, but it was still a great time. Between the extra kayak, swimming, and water fights we enjoyed ourselves. Our guide, Ally, was a wealth of knowledge of the area and a great encourager of fun. :) Despite temps >100 and full sun we weren’t too hot and nobody walked away with a sunburn. Highly recommend!
Hi there, Thank you for leaving us a five star review and for taking the time to highlight Allie! We are so happy to hear that you and your family had a fun time on the river and appreciate the recommendation. Best, Sierra
Sold as a 4 hr boat ride with rapids with snacks.... the rapids are more lime ripples, no snacks and its only 2 hrs!
Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the rafting trip did not meet your expectations. Our 9:00 a.m. trip is approximately four hours from departure to return, including transportation, so the time spent on the river is less than four hours. The 9:00 a.m. departure includes snacks, while our 12:00 p.m. departure includes lunch. This is a Class I–II rafting trip, so the rapids are generally mild and can vary depending on water levels. This year’s very low snowpack resulted in especially low water levels and calmer than usual river conditions. For guests looking for bigger rapids and a more adrenaline pumping experience, we recommend our Westwater Canyon trip. We’ll continue working to make sure our descriptions clearly communicate the length, inclusions, and type of experience guests can expect. If you have more feedback please feel free to email us at info@navtec.com. Best, Sierra
I booked the river rafting tour through TripAdvisor expecting an exciting experience based on the description provided. The listing advertised a 4-hour tour, with a snack at 9:00 AM, lunch at 12:00 PM, and another snack at 2:00 PM. The guide wasn’t rude, but he spent much of the trip getting in and out of the water. He was the only one paddling, and every time he wanted to explain something, he would either stop the raft completely or let the wind push us along. At times, I could literally stand up in the raft without any concern because the water was so calm. The actual rafting portion lasted only about 2 hours. When I asked about lunch, the guide replied, “If you want, I can give you some chips.” That was it. We spent more time riding on the bus than we did on the river. I complained at the office afterward, and they simply told me that the 4 hours referred to the entire experience and that no meals or snacks were included—only the river trip. So, my husband and I paid $210 for what turned out to be little more than a short, calm float down the river. We left feeling extremely disappointed because the experience was nothing like what was advertised.
Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take guest reviews seriously and are always looking for ways to make sure our tours and descriptions clearly communicate what guests can expect. Our 9:00 a.m. departure includes snacks and concludes at approximately 1:00 p.m. Our 12:00 p.m. departure includes lunch, and our 2:00 p.m. departure includes snacks. We understand how the way the information was presented on TripAdvisor could have led to some confusion about which food was included with each departure and the length of time spent on the river. We will review how these details are communicated to make sure that it is described clearly. Regarding the pace of the river, we experienced near-record-low snowpack this year, which resulted in lower water levels and much milder river conditions than we would typically see. Our trip is a Class I-II rafting experience, so conditions can vary significantly depending on water levels. The experience is intended to be a scenic, recreational rafting trip rather than a high-adrenaline whitewater excursion. For guests looking for larger rapids and a more action-oriented experience, we recommend our Westwater Canyon tour. We also understand your comments regarding the guide and the amount of time spent on the river. Our guides regularly stop to explain points of interest and share information about the river and surrounding area, and the pace of the trip naturally varies with river conditions. This year’s unusually low water meant that the river was moving considerably slower than normal, which contributed to a more relaxed experience. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to make sure our tour descriptions do an even better job of setting expectations around departure times, included food, river conditions, and the type of rafting experience our guests can expect. Thank you again for sharing your experience. Best, Sierra
Great crew! Provided fun, informative banter along the way. I opted for the single kayak available and had a blast.

Ali and Annie were awesome and the views are amazing! They do all of the paddling for you and there are several times you can get out of the raft and float down the Colorado River.
