Mindo – Nambillo ist ein ökologisches Reservat mit etwa 22.000 Hektar Primärwald. In diesem geschützten Gebiet finden wir einen natürlichen Komplex von 15 Wasserfällen, jeder von ihnen mit einer anderen Höhe und Schönheit! Ihr Fortgeschrittener holt Sie um 08:00 Uhr von Ihrem Hotel in Quito ab, um diesen faszinierenden Ort voller Wildtiere zu besuchen!
Auf 1.900 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel werden Kolibris, Luftpflanzen, Orchideen und andere überraschend exotische Arten unsere volle Aufmerksamkeit auf sich ziehen! Nachdem wir den ganzen Weg durch die kurvige Straße gegangen sind, halten wir an einer Kolibrisfarm an, um atemberaubende Erlebnisse mit diesen kleinen Kreaturen und die erstaunliche Landschaft zu genießen.
Nach vielen Fotos und Zeitlupenvideos entspannen Sie bei einer Tasse Kaffee auf einer lokalen Kaffeeplantage. Dann fahren Sie hinunter zum Dorf Mindo, das am südlichen Rand der Choco/Anden-Hotspots der Artenvielfalt liegt, die sich vom Südwesten Kolumbiens bis zum Nordwesten Ecuadors erstreckt. Das Mindo-Gebiet hat internationale Bedeutung für Vögel und wurde 1997 von Birdlife International als erstes Gebiet Südamerikas ausgewiesen. Auf diesem bezaubernden grünen Königreich wartet eine Fülle von Leben auf Ihre Entdeckung! Deshalb unternehmen Sie eine Seilbahnfahrt durch eine 530 Meter lange Seilbahn, um die Landschaften auf der anderen Seite der Berge zu genießen!
Nach der unvergesslichen Seilbahnfahrt ist es möglich, je nach körperlichen Bedingungen etwa 1 Stunde zu wandern, um den schönsten Wasserfall namens „Nambillo“ zu besuchen, wo Sie ein erfrischendes Bad nehmen können! Bei Ihrer privaten Führung lernen Sie die üppige Vegetation des Nebelwaldes, seine Vogelwelt und die faszinierenden Anpassungen an das Leben in dieser besonderen Umgebung kennen.
Sie haben Zeit zum Mittagessen, wenn Sie es für notwendig halten. Dann haben Sie ein unvergessliches und lehrreiches Dessert auf einer Schokoladenverkostungstour!
Wenn noch etwas Zeit übrig ist, können Sie eine Orchideen- und Schmetterlingsfarm besuchen. Gegen 17:30 Uhr sind Sie wieder in Ihrem Hotel in Quito. Ende dieser fantastischen Erfahrung an einem Tag voller wunderbarer Entdeckungen!

Luis was a fabulous guide. Our day was absolutely the test. We visited the Mindo Cloud Forest and saw the hummingbirds as well as other birds (San Tadeo Birding), visited Mariposas de Mindo for the butterflies. We had a delicious lunch in Mindo. Was a great day!

I love that our tour guide, Deanna, was as passionate about the environment as we were! Because she was so in tune with the experience we were able to see toucans! The entire experience was perfect. We loved the hike to the waterfall and the cable car ride! The Hummingbird Farm was a definite highlight.

This was a terrific one day trip. We did the Hummingbirds, Butterfly area, waterfall hike and the chocolate factory. We had a terrific experience and Ximena was a wonderful guide. Our group was 12 people ranging from 15- 78 and there was enough to do at each location to interest everyone. I would definitely book this experience again on another trip to Ecuador.

Ivan was prompt and professional. He tailored our trip what we wanted to see and do. We saw and did some amazing things. But the highlight was by far the birds and humming birds. He gave us the option of 2 farms and it was well worth going to the more exclusive one! I could have sat there all day. Ivan was a wealth of knowledge and I would highly recommend!

The trip to Mindo was fantastic. We were able to choose from several activities presented by our guide to fill in our day. We chose; a walk to a waterfall, viewing hummingbirds, riding a zip line bicycle, taking a gondola ride and having a chocolate tasting activities. Note that most activities have a small fee associated with them outside of booking the guide. From $5 -&10 dollars. Our favorites were the bird watching where we were surrounded by incredibly diverse and beautiful hummingbirds and chocolate tasting where we were walked through all of the steps required to make chocolate from cocao beans then we tasted various flavors of chocolate as well as other chocolate products. Ximena, our guide led us through all activities and provided tons of insight on the culture and history of the place.

This was our favorite individual day in the Quito area. Our guide Ximena was so knowledgeable and friendly. She helped us customize our day to fit in everything we wanted and made recommendations to make the experiences the best possible. She readily helped take photos for us and kept us on time.
