We were lucky to have a guide of rare erudition to discover The Last Supper in the refectory of Santa Maria Delle Grazie. His dual expertise, both artistic and religious, enriched every second spent in front of the fresco. He explained to us with passion Leonardo's revolutionary painting techniques as well as the theological mysteries hidden in the composition. He had started the visit with the history and symbols of the Santa Maria Delle Grazie church, thus allowing us to understand the spiritual context in which the convent is inscribed. A true moment of pure emotion!

The tour guide was fine. Everything else is way over rated. Not worth what we paid. I do not recommend. The painting has deteriorated so much. Little of the original remains. And if you are really into art, you only get 15 minutes in with it. Go on a food tour or go shopping instead.

Unfortunately, this is beyond our control, but we are sorry that you were unable to appreciate the extraordinary historical and artistic value of this iconic masterpiece. Regarding the viewing time, the 15-minute limit is an official museum policy applied to all visitors. It is necessary to regulate access and preserve the carefully controlled environment inside the room, including temperature and humidity, which helps protect the artwork for future generations. We sincerely regret that the experience was not what you had hoped for, and we hope you may still consider discovering another side of Italy with us in the future, perhaps through one of our authentic food tours or cooking classes.
