Porta Genova ist ein Bahnhof in Mailand, Italien, an der Vorortbahnlinie Passante Ferroviario di Milano. Es wurde 2004 eröffnet und bietet Verbindungen zu anderen Teilen Mailands und den umliegenden Regionen. Der Bahnhof ist nach der nahegelegenen Porta Genova benannt, einem der alten Tore der Mailänder Stadtmauer.
Darsena ist ein Bezirk in Mailand, Italien, im Navigli-Gebiet. Es ist bekannt für sein lebhaftes Nachtleben, trendige Bars und Restaurants. Der Name des Bezirks geht auf den Kanal Naviglio Grande zurück, der einst als Handelshafen diente und heute ein beliebter Ort zum Spazierengehen und Bootfahren ist. Das Viertel Darsena wurde in den letzten Jahren erheblich saniert und ist zu einem der gefragtesten Viertel Mailands geworden.
Der Naviglio ist ein Kanalsystem in Mailand, Italien, bestehend aus dem Naviglio Grande und dem Naviglio Pavese. Die Kanäle wurden ursprünglich im 12. Jahrhundert gebaut, um Mailand mit anderen Städten zu verbinden und den Handel zu erleichtern. Heute ist der Naviglio eine beliebte Touristenattraktion, bekannt für seine malerischen Wasserstraßen, historischen Brücken und das pulsierende Nachtleben im Stadtteil Darsena. Der Naviglio Grande ist von Cafés, Restaurants und Bars gesäumt und ein beliebter Ort für Bootsfahrten und Spaziergänge. Der Naviglio Pavese hingegen ist ein ruhigerer und ländlicherer Kanal, der durch die Landschaft verläuft.
Eine „Porta Ticinese“ war bereits Teil der mittelalterlichen Mauern Mailands (12. Jahrhundert); das mittelalterliche Tor ist einer der wenigen noch vorhandenen Überreste der mittelalterlichen Mauern und befindet sich in derselben Gegend wie die moderne „Porta Ticinese“, jedoch näher am Stadtzentrum (da die mittelalterlichen Mauern ein kleineres Gebiet umschlossen als die spanischen Mauern). Der heutige Standort des Tores (auf einem Platz, der heute „Piazzale XIV Maggio“ heißt) wurde während der spanischen Herrschaft im 16. Jahrhundert festgelegt.

Wow 👌. We had so much fun visiting authentic local food establishments and learning about the history and traditions of the region. Elena, our tour guide was passionate and very knowledgeable on the subject and answered all our questions. We were well looked after in the extreme heat. The venues were well chosen and personally I enjoyed everything I tasted. Some very unusual combinations worked really well together. We left extremely happy 😊.

This was such an enjoyable tour. Elena was an awesome guide, very friendly, so enthusiastic and really informative. We tried 5 delicious dishes mixed with some wonderful wine and prosecco. The stay at each stop was just right. Perfect amount of time to enjoy the food and soak up the atmosphere. We did this on our first night which was a great way of familiarising ourselves with the area and getting some tips for where to eat on subsequent nights. Great tour - definitely recommended!

Elena was such a great guide! Full of energy and passionate about Milan, its history and FOOD! Every single dish was so so good, the wine, variety of dishes that I would never have tried on my own. There wasn’t one thing that I didn’t like. It was a good way to see some of Milan and eat great food. Elena also gave great recommendations. She really made the tour fantastic!

Elena was amazing! She took us to all of the best local spots and gave us such amazing knowledge of Milan. Our personal favorite was the cannoli, risotto with cheese and pears, and the gelato (of course)!

It ended up just being myself so had my own private tour with Elena. She is an amazing guide showing us some Milanese dishes and food the locals visit and eat. There was alot of food, but from previous experience I made sure I had an empty stomach. The only item I could not eat was the large Arancini which normally would be split between two. I ate the rest later. Highly recommend this tour to have an introduction to the food scene in Milan and Elena will provide recommendations around Milan and near your hotel.

This was such a rewarding tour. Food quality & quantity are so much. I couldn’t eat much at the last stop because I was so full. Elena, our tour guide was so passionate about food.
