Chef Roberto was kind and informative. He engaged the whole group. Upon arrival and throughout our experience the staff was gracious and very attentive. The food was delicious 😋 Highly recommend!
Fantastic recipes and presentation. We had a wonderful time learning about the history of ingredients and preparing amazing food.
So good! Much more extensive than I expected. Several courses, hands on. Very specific. Delicious and all natural. Chef Roberto has expertise and patience.
I thought the presentation of table and welcome sign was very nice. The people we cooked with were wonderful! Starting at 5 in July is too early due to outdoor venue and it was really hot. Hand sanitizer would be helpful instead of having to go wash our hands so many times. The instructor was very knowledgeable. The food was not high quality, type of fish used was bait fish and a plate full of chichiroinis was not good, rice and beans would have been better. Mezcal is an acquired taste so offering a regular tequila would be nice. With just a few upgrades the class would be much better.
We found the Metate cooking class and thought it would be a great thing to try in Cabo and we were right! We arrived at Metate a few minutes early and were greeted by Roberto, the friendly staff, and the house dog. We were shown to our seats and eagerly awaited the rest of the patrons. Two other couples joined us on the culinary adventure. We were greeted with our first drink, the “Wild Flower” which was delicious. A walk around the property, some history on the ingredients they grow and use from the property as well as some cultural history lesson, and then jumped into making our second drink. We made Ceviche with fresh fish and it was delicious. We pressed some tortillas, made empanadas and fish tacos from them, and then ate them all! We were served some all-day braised pork shank and finished with Flan. For the price, it was 3 hours of time well spent and very fun. You get recipes to take home too!
Fun cooking class. Started with a few cocktails that you make alongside the chef and bartender using herbs from their garden. Then you do a brief history and culture lesson before cooking a 4-6 course meal. Food was really good.
When I arrived at the cooking class I was u firmed that I was the only one that signed up. As a solo female traveller, the staff made me feel very welcomed. I lived learning about the restaurant abs touring the ground. I am looking forward to returning to Cabo to sit down and try various food on the menu.
Me Tate and staff were great Roberto was an excellent instructor! Food was delicious even the flan ( which is not a favorite of mine ) ! Will be back for a regular dinner !!
Good food. Fun helping prepare the different dishes. Friendly host and very knowledgeable.
This was educational, fun, and delicious food. Know that it lasts longer than three hours, but well worth the money. They give you all the recipes of everything that you make to take home with you. We were a group of two, but we’re there at the table with nine other people and had a wonderful time.
