À Maurice Uhrenwerkstatt in Zürich

Beschreibung

Reiseverlauf

The course was exciting, entertaining, and educational, and it was excellently organized - we would gladly attend another course again. Everything went perfectly. Heartfelt thanks to the entire team! Oliver
Excellent experience if you like watches or are just curious. My son and I are both engineers and asked many questions. The watchmaker was very knowledgeable and answered them patiently. Great to learn about watches! NOTE: the business has moved to Ramistrasse 5 which is about 15 minutes walk from their original location.
Hi Eric, thank you so much for your review. It was great having you. Best wishes Massimo
Best watchmaking experience. Had a great teacher that was very patient and loved every minute of it.
Hi Sylwia, thank you very much for your positive feedback. We wish you a great TIME
This was a great experience for my son and I. We really enjoyed it! The watchmaker was engaging, entertaining, and patient with all of my questions. It was really cool to use the monocle / jewelers loop to see the tiny watch components. I highly recommend this tour!
Thank you so much for the positive feedback. We are happy that you enjoyed your TIME with us. All the best from Zurich
The business is uniquely cool. The advice outstanding and also the conversation very exciting and enriching. The selection of watches and accessories as well as the individual composition of your own watch are simply unique. In Züri, from Züri for Züri. Where else is that? We will come back. L1 bought and very happy with it.
No list of iconic Swiss excellence omits watches, chocolate, and cheese. This workshop is a fascinating demonstration and explanation of how a watch works. Our watchmaker told us about each piece as she disassembled a watch before our very eyes - its purpose and how it works. Then it was our turn to put it back together again (!). For real! But fun because our watchmaker was overseeing and guiding and sharing tricks and expert tips. I was delighted that most of the time was spent hands-on. Still, I must mention that upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Leo, one of the brothers of the MDM family. He made us feel totally at home. He started with a brief overview of the family business his father started, and the industry in general. We asked loads of questions, and enjoyed the conversation very much. Plus, I before we booked this activity, we looked online at the watches they make, and we think they are fantastic! (They look even better in person.) Do not miss this!
Hi Glenn, thank you too much for this great words! All the best from Zurich
Fascinating explanation of how a watch works. Arlene, our watchmaker, told us about each piece as she disassembled a watch. Then it was our turn to put it back together (!) - with her supervision and expert tips. I was delighted that most of the time was dedicated to our hands-on experience.
Hi Glenn, great to read from you. Happy day The Dreifuss family
A fantastic workshop that is offered for business events or for a small private group. The insight into the world of watches is fascinating and the managers do their job professionally.
Vielen Dank für diese positive Rückmeldung. Liebe Grüsse die Dreifuss Familie
Though a fan of watches I walked into Maurice de Mauriac without knowing much of anything about the company, it having slipped my radar until arriving in Zurich. But I promptly fell in love--with the brothers Leo and Massimo who are brilliant, fun and embody watchmaking (precision; symbolism; aesthetics; references; family) in the best sense; with the design ethos and language; with the watches as physical objects; with the process of choosing case materials; dial colors; complications; straps--customizing the watch to my own specs. I bought two pieces as I couldn't choose between them, and as gifts Massimo and Leo gave me a discount on the two, a lesson in watchmaking with their horologist Sean who taught me how to disassemble and assemble a movement; a key chain and straps. Between getting to know Leo and Massimo, getting to spec my own watches and learning how to work with them, this was easily the most meaningful experience of my life with watches. And I haven't taken my L2 off since I bought it. It's brilliant. Thank you Massimo, Leo, Sean and Totor the watch Dog for an amazing experience I will always remember, and for the beautiful watches.
This was so much fun to read! Thank you so much for this feedback. We appreciated it a lot. All the best from Zurich Massimo & watch siblings
Extraordinary experience to learn first hand how a Swiss watch is made. I had not appreciated the complexity and craftsmanship in my watch until this moment.
Hi Andrew, thank you very much for your feedback! I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the workshop. Best wishes, Massimo
