Maui : Molokini und Turtle Town Schnorcheln an Bord des Pride of Maui

We had a wonderful day on the Pride of Maui Elua snorkeling trip! We did a 5 hour adventure on the Elua luxury yacht and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a small group snorkeling trip! This yacht is beatiful both inside and out! Very comfortable seating areas, very clean bathrooms! We were offered a lovely continental breakfast and a great bbq grill lunch! Crew was amazing! Very attentive to all of us and our specific needs. They offered plenty of preventative solutions for seasickness - greatly appreciated as it was a windy day so sea was quite choppy! Five of us took the ʻElua Luxury Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkel Tour on Tuesday, August 4, and it was a highlight of our Maui trip. From the moment we boarded, it was clear this crew runs a top-notch operation. Captain Justin was fantastic — knowledgeable, clearly passionate about the ocean and Maui, and great at balancing safety with fun. He explained everything we needed to know without ever making it feel like a lecture, and he kept the whole boat laughing and engaged throughout the day. Kirsty was an excellent lifeguard, keeping a close eye on everyone in the water while still making us feel relaxed and taken care of. Anna and Sam were terrific too — from helping us get fitted with gear to cooking up a delicious lunch onboard, they handled it all with warmth and efficiency. The food was a genuine highlight (four of us had the island fish, one had the cheeseburger, and everyone cleaned their plates!). Molokini was breathtaking — crystal clear water and incredible visibility — and Turtle Town did not disappoint, with several green sea turtles gliding right by us. The whole crew made sure everyone, regardless of snorkeling experience, felt comfortable and had a great time. If you're looking for a snorkel tour in Maui, book with Pride of Maui and ask for the ʻElua. Justin, Kirsty, Anna, and Sam made it a trip we'll be talking about for years. Highly recommend!

This was really well organized. They did a great job checking people in, giving instructions, getting everyone set and ready. You get the perfect amount of time at each location (of 2) that you snorkel at. They provide a basic hamburger/hot dog and chips lunch. It was extremely well organized. This will involve a lot of other passengers on board. It was extremely family friendly, so lots of kids. No one can promise what youll see so stop one had some fish. Stop two I saw 4 turtles, which is amazing, but there are a lot of people in the water also looking to see turtles, so keep the crowds in mind. As with most excursions, a tip is expected on top of the cost of the tickets.

Crew was extremely friendly and went out of the there way to make you feel safe out in the water. The snorkeling was amazing. The areas they took us out to were never too packed. The food and drinks that were provided on board were great too. Would definitely recommend.

Such a great experience! The fish were absolutely beautiful and our Snuba instructor. Julie was absolutely incredible!

First, the crew was fantastic. The help on board was top-notch. The lunch really tasty! The crew was informative and helpful. They serviced everything on the boat really well. I understand weather and ocean conditions change. But we did book this one because it came with the stop with the turtles. I do think for the price of something like this. There should be a notification given the night before about the expectations for the trip. We may have made out of changed it, but we should be given an opportunity to cancel and rebook something else.

The crew made absolutely no effort to make sure all passengers safely navigated onto the boat, and into and out of the water, including senior citizens and those using canes. They simply did the bare minimum, without any effort to go the extra mile.

If you are looking for the absolute best snorkeling excursion, look no further than Pride of Maui. Our family took their Molokini Crater and Turtle Town trip in mid-July, and from start to finish, it was the highlight of our vacation! The entire 5 hour excursion was seamless and well-organized. We started with a light breakfast while riding out the Molokini Crater and then enjoyed snorkeling along the vibrant coral reefs there, surrounded by colorful fish and majestic sea turtles. We made a second stop at Turtle Town for further time in the ocean (and even more turtles!) We really appreciated the relaxed, non-rushed vibe. The crew gave us freedom to snorkel at our own pace—whether you wanted a quick swim or to stay in the water as long as possible. Everyone in my family was happy with their own experience! Lunch was delicious, featuring grilled chicken and hamburgers, (freshly grilled on board!) followed by flavorful beverages later in the trip. Plus, the water slide off the back of the boat was a huge hit and added an extra layer of fun to the day! While the excursion itself was amazing, what truly set Pride of Maui apart was their incredible, caring crew. Everyone from the registration people on the phone to the check-in people at the marina to the whole team on board was just fantastic. Special shout out to 2 people: First, Noah was so personable and friendly on board as he assisted in our boat ride and snorkeling experience. We loved talking to him and learning about the island and the sea life surrounding it. Thanks, Noah! Second, Takako was the absolute best! During our stop at Turtle Town, I accidentally dropped my phone into the ocean (inside a waterproof case), but I didn’t realize it until we were already en route back to the marina. I mentioned it to Takako. She was kind and empathetic, taking down my phone details and contact information. Honestly, I didn’t expect to see my phone again, but thought she was so sweet in even asking for the information. Days later, she tracked me down with unbelievable news! The team had waited for favorable weather conditions to return to the exact spot where we had snorkeled, and a crew member dove down and found my phone—still fully functional inside its case! To top it off, Takako personally drove it out to our condo just 15 minutes before we had to leave for the airport for our flight home. She wouldn’t even accept an additional tip, saying she (and her crew) were just glad to end our Maui vacation with one last BIG smile. 😀 You can tell this crew genuinely loves what they do and cares about their guests. The sincerity, warmth, and dedication went far beyond anything we could have ever expected. Thank you to Noah, Takako, and the entire Pride of Maui team for an unforgettable day and a truly happy ending. Do not hesitate to book with them—they are simply the best on the island! We couldn't make it to Molokini due to winds, but, we were also not taken to turtle town. The crew brought us North to a location that was crowded by large groups and had no turtles. Their (Pride of Maui) more expensive, smaller group boat left when we were arriving but we were stuck at this location with no turtles and little snorkeling action. Then, we had to spend over an hour stalling in the ocean because if we didn't we'd arrive back early. It was awful and the trip wasn't what it was advertised.
