Marseille Highlights & Weinprobe Tagestour ab Marseille

Much more like a hop-on, hop-off bus tour. For example, our guide, who was also training two new guides during our tour, told us to meet her 2 hours later after dropping us off in Aix-en-Provence. The only thing she pointed out was a candy store. She walked ahead of us, didn't engage us but spoke to her trainees in French. Her performance was entirely substandard compared with my previous experiences with Viator. The trainees should have instruction from staff other than Caroline.

I wait in the meeting point without any notice and contact. Then the trip just being noticed to be cancelled after the meeting time.

This is probably the only 1 star review I’ve ever done. The Marseille walking tour was an abject disappointment. We followed our guide for 3 hours on a walk around Marseille and learned nothing more than reading the dust cover of a guide book. The guide was barely engaged and seemed to be following a small script. We even attempted further conversation with guide only to get one word answers and a quick move along. We considered walking away in the first 45 minutes it was so bad. We were driven up to the Notre Dame cathedral dropped off and told to be back in 30 minutes. The only reason we stayed with it was to see Cassis and Aix en Provence. We were driven 9 people in a minivan to Cassis and dropped off and told to be back in 90 minutes. Same minivan to Aix dropped at the fountain and told to be back in 90 minutes. There may have been five minutes of guide comments on each leg of the trip. Otherwise-silence. Not even radio. Now the times in Cassis and Aix were fantastic and prob worth at least a half day to two at each place. The people and restaurants at each place were amazing. But if you’re trying to do both in one day, you’re better off taking a Bolt or taxi. You can stay as long as you want and it’s way cheaper if you have 2 or more .

It was a beautiful informative tour Beautiful countryside Loved cassis and the drive to Aix du Provence was incredible Would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to come to Marseilles

Florence is excellent tour guide. She is passionate and explains well about cities. She does explain history of the places you see

My sister and I were delighted by Lucy's narrative. Very interesting and insightful. Our time to browse in Aix and Cassis was fun. We ended up taking the train back to Cassis for a long calanque cruise.

Tour guide was REALLY informative and was perfect in getting us to visit as much as possible. If you want to get the most of your visit take this tour!

I thoroughly enjoyed this day tour with guide Emmanuel. He was Knowledgeable, professional and made the day run smoothly. The town of Aix en Provence was quaint and had some interesting history a nice market to wander through, but it was Cassis that stole my heart. I chose not to take the boat ride to the calanques but instead explored the town and had a superb meal at a harbourside cafe. Emmanuel stopped at some great vantage points along the way and was patient and kind to some of the older guests. I recommend this tour as a great way to get a glimpse of Marseille and its surrounds.

This was a great tour and I would highly recommend it to anyone that is visiting the area. Our guide, Florence, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and personable. She knew the area very well and was able to tailor the tour to the things we wanted to see and do. Again, a very enjoyable way to spend the day and a very interesting tour.
