Marlborough Pure Wine Tasting Tour - Nachmittag 3 - 4 Stunden

We all had an excellent time and enjoyed every winery Bill was a super nice guide. I could recommend this tour to visiyors

We were due to be picked up between 1:30 and 1:45. We were picked up just on 1:45 which may seem minor but by the time we collected the final person we would find out later one of the visits was cancelled because we’d run out of time. We were told we would make 4 visits and ultimately only 3,were achieved. It want particularly clear what the timetable was or what would happen at each venue - we kind of made it up. The first visit was St. Clare which was good, the second at Gibson Bridge was very good and very informative and ultimately the final visit to Whitehaven was good too. For me there needed to be more structure to the visits setting out exactly what the timetable was. We were rushed in the end and still missed out on a visit for some promised bubbly.

Company is so busy packing in the van that most of the time was spent picking up or dropping off patrons. I didn’t get retrieved until 2:00 and was dropped off at my hotel at 5:00. The itinerary states a 4 hour wine experience but since the wineries close around 4:00-4:30 we only visited 3 tasting rooms instead of the 4 the guide communicated. Such a disappointment. Not a good value for the money. If I had to do it over again I’d certainly research further as opposed to using this company via Viator.

Great tour, Bill was friendly and knowledgeable, knew the staff at all the places we visited which was a nice thing to see. Started the tour at St. Clair, where we could purchase our own lunch. Had tasters during our lunch which we thoroughly enjoyed. Next No 1, bubbles not our thing but still enjoyed the tasting and presentation. Mount Riley & Dry Hills, where we got to taste even more wines. If you enjoy wine I'd recommend this tour.

Chris was a great guide to the area and took us to some of the top wineries nearby. The wine and the conversation couldn't be beat. We highly recommend this tour.

Bill our driver was super he took us to 3 wineries and then the chocolate factory. There were only 4 of us on the tour so it felt very personal. He listened to what we wanted to get out of the day so that it fit our needs. We wanted to learn about wine making and try to get over our avoidance of white wine. We did find some we like although I think I’ll always prefer red

Chris is knowledgeable, passionate, generous, and fun. He is the ultimate host - -accomodating and flexible. He picked us up at the ferry terminal and made room in the van for our luggage. He has a good rapport with the vineyard staff and guided us to the best tasting selections. Truly a tour where you can sip back and relax!

Chris does such an incredible wine tour, I can't imagine anyone not having a good time. He made an entirely customised experience for us by asking what we liked, what we wanted to get out of the tour and also asking if we're open to learning more. Chris KNOWS the region, he knows the wines, the vintages, the vineyards and the staff at the wineries, so everyone is so patient and great that you come into contact with. Having done a few wine tours, this one wise by far the most personalised, the most informative, and the most VIP experience we've had. Chris is so entertaining and thoughtful, I recommend this experience for anyone.

We had a most enjoyable afternoon with Chris the owner/operator who had a wealth of knowledge about wine & the local region, and we enjoyed 4 different wineries & their beautiful wines in good company. We were picked up & dropped off back at our accommodation, so the whole afternoon was very relaxed & most enjoyable. This tour is great value for money, you wont be disappointed. Thanks again Chris.
