Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek -9 Tage

Between November 1 and 11, 2024, my partner and I had the pleasure of performing the Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek (11 days) with Himalayan Adventure Treks & Tours. From the outset, Bhagwat was extremely responsive, responding quickly to our inquiries and adapting to our requests with customized alternatives. The Mardi Himal is known as a "Baby Trek" by locals, and rightly so. It is a simple route, with short stages, suitable for people of all ages and levels of physical preparation. This makes it a perfect choice for those looking for a relaxed trip, enjoying the views and amenities of the tea-lodges, without compromising the charm of the mountain. On site, our experience was flawless, largely thanks to Bharat, our guide. It not only provided us with professional and successful accompaniment at every stage of the tour, but also enriched our journey by sharing aspects of local culture through gastronomy, music and dancing. As in any travel experience, we had two minor setbacks: one with the Arts Hotel in Kathmandu and one with the one-way bus to Pokhara. However, Bhagwat resolved them quickly, offering us efficient solutions, such as changing hotels and ensuring comfortable return transport. One small detail is that the official Trek (and therefore the one followed by all the guides) does not reach the Camp Base (4500msnm), but to the Viewpoint (4200msnm), and that is where the photos are. In short, if you are looking for a first approach to the majestic Himalayas with spectacular views, without needing much physical effort or preparation, the Mardi Himal is an excellent choice. And with Himalayan Adventure Treks & Tours, the experience becomes even more special thanks to its impeccable organization and the human quality of its equipment. Highly recommended!

After ACT, we turned to trek the Mardi Himal. This treking was easier and more relaxing. Especially the landscape were totally different. Mardi Himal was many trees and flowers in the mountains. Now it was on the season of rhododendron, and it was amazing. When we walked into the forest, which felt comfortable. Also, we went up to watch the sunrise on the high viewpoint that was amazing. Although our guide Birendra was busy, he arranged another guide to take care of us that we felt better.

Really good trip. Well-organised and we were well taken care of. The trek is not too hard and the guide and porters were very helpful. We also took a city tour in Kathmandu with Mr. Kapil. He was very knowledgeable about the sites and the city. He did a great job as a guide for the day. Highly recommended!

You can’t go wrong with Himalayan Adventures because it is made up of good people and well organized/run. Prakash was our Mardi Himal trek guide, and you couldn’t ask for a better guide. Prakash is a highly skilled guide who was funny, caring, motivating, and a patient guide dealing with my frequent questioning of “how much longer.” Our porters consisted of Manoj, Dikpal, Santos 1, and Santos 2. They were a kind, friendly, attentive group always there for us. The owner, Bhagwat, was always responsive and available to answer our questions. I was not physically prepared for this last minute trek so thank you for the kindness and encouragement helping me get past the day 1 climb that almost broke me.

7/4/2023 I joined with group to Mardi Himal Trek by Himalayan Adventure。I apprecite to company with 7 very friedly and kind people to trek, and of course, lucky we had a very humble, polite, very conscientious and helpful guide Prakashadh (WeChat)with us . also ,there are those very hard-working porters, especially Monas, who also take care of us all the way. These make our whole traveling safe 、excellent and lots of fun. Thank you so much for everyone !

Prakash (trek guide) led our group of 8 with patience, care, competence, and humor. It was the first time our family had done such an adventurous trip, and we had various anxieties and were not all necessarily in the best physical shape for it haha. But he calmly reassured us we would all make it (and we did!) and to go at our own pace. I caught a stomach bug on the 2nd day (my worst fear while traveling), but he was prepared with medications and amazingly, I was able to carry on. To watch the sunrise on top of a mountain in the Himalaya's was magic and made it all worth it. Our porters (Manoj, Dikpal, Santos 1, and Santos 2) were also great, and they were all flexible to meet everyone's needs within the group (e.g. by guiding those in the group who wanted to hike faster, while Prakash stayed back with the slower paced group). What an incredible experience! We did the 7 day Mardi Himal Trek. The owner, Bhagwat, was a pleasure to plan this trip with. He made sure we were taken care of before and after the trek, making our 1st experience to Nepal a fantastic one!. Our guide, Prakash, and porter Monoj were wonderful to trek with. Prakash made us feel well-informed about what to expect everyday, how to dress, and mades sure we were well hydrated and took rest breaks. He knew every portion of the Mardi Himal trek and we felt very fortunate to have someone who is so passionate about the outdoors guiding us. He was so fun to trek with too with his great sense of humor. Our porter, Monoj, was super helpful and great to trek with as well! He was always kind, fun, and had our bags ready for us in our rooms at every stop along the way. I would highly recommend any tour with Himalayan Adventure Treks and Tours! We did a 7 day trekking, it was little strenuous for us initially but our guide Badri encouraged us and we finished the hike up to the View point. We couldn't appreciate enough the service provided by Himalayan Trekking and Tours. Mr. Bhagwat was extremely prompt in response and genuinely honest person.
