Overall tour was good of marble mountain and exploring Hoi An on our own. Communication could have been clearer for pick up and drop off took a very long time with many stops before ours. Food at Blue Gecko was included and very good.
On the day of the tour, we received two whatsapp messages confirming our pick up time at our hotel. The name on one of the messages was incorrect but the hotel name was correct. The second message didn't have a name on it but confirmed the pick up location and time. When the bus arrived, we went up along with another couple, but the tour guide was visibly confused and asked us to show our confirmation. I showed him the Expedia confirmation, receipt and whatsapp messages, but he looked more and more annoyed at us even though we had clearly booked and paid for the tour. In the end, he called his office and shoved us on the bus, but the bus was full so we were perched on the edge of the seats. At no point in time did the tour guide apologise for the mix up and continued to treat us as if we were grifters trying to cheat our way into the tour. We were very tempted to just walk away rather than continue to be treated poorly, but after the first stop, the guide rearranged seating so that we would have proper seats and could sit together. Throughout the tour, there was not a single apology given about the mix up. It's understandable that administrative errors happen with bookings, and that's fine if the company and tour guide handles the situation in a professional manner. However, in this case, the guide handled the situation terribly and took his annoyance out on the customer(!!). We'll never, ever use this tour group again. The tour itself was okay. The guide spoke fluent English. The dinner at Hoi An was probably one of our most disappointing meals in our trip. It was designed to allow us to sample multiple things, but all items were not executed very well.
It's like a hiking trip, so skip the morning run and workout! The Guide was very helpful and informative, so you pretty much knew what was coming up next.
This tour was more interesting than I expected. Climbing the Marble Mountain is a great experience though it might be tough if you don’t do any exercise at least monthly basis. Hoi A was really beautiful at night and we could enjoy the night market as well. One negative point is that the tour takes you a jem store at the beginning.
I don't understand English, but I took part in an English tour. The guide showed us the meeting time and place slowly and clearly because we do not understand English. The tour was also very good. I also wanted to use it. Thank you very much.
Good tour. Some fitness required as there are a couple of hundred stone stairs to climb. The host was cheerful and organised.
My girls and I absolutely loved this excursion, especially the time spent at the Ancient Town of Hoi An. Being on the river with our lanterns was magical, and the overall experience of the town was vibrant and full of energy. The trip was well organised and the local food served was plenty and delicious. I would recommend this tour without hesitation.
Had a good time. Great little tour to do if you’re free for a few hours late afternoon/evening. Van pick up was good Tour guide ‘Tea’ was friendly and his English was great. FYI, The mountain has many stairs so it’s not for everyone. Elderly and overweight people will most probably struggle with the harshness of the heat and amount of stairs needed to climb the mountain. That said.. if you do make it up.. it’s worth it!! Food wasn’t great! Normally the tours throughout Da Nang have really good food, sadly not the case here… good job I came for the mountain, caves and Hoi An city. LOL The caves we visited were amazing! The city tour of Hoi A was fab! Great to be on the river and do the boat lantern “thing” too! (Not included in the tour price) I paid 200,000 for the boat. Which is apparently the price for 1-2 people.. the price then scales up accordingly. You could probably fit 8-10 people on the boat I had I feel. Anyways, I hope this helps someone or maybe a few.. leave a thumbs up if it does.
It was fun! The tour provided comfortable transportation from the resort. Our tour guide, Mr. Tea, was very friendly and helpful and communicated well! Started out with Marble mountain and ended with Hoi An night market, I did not feel rushed and you get the freedom to do a lot of things on your own.
The views were so amazing. The guide and the trip went very well. Everything was so well planned I highly recommend this to everyone
