Cannot speak highly enough of Captain Micheal. Very nice boat; all crew very friendly and helpful. We were let down at the last minute by 'spot on' fishing, but it worked out better for us, as we couldn't fault our trip on fishing time. They kindly took us on board after we had travelled all the way from my home to be let down at the last minute. If you are planning a fishing trip, do not look anywhere else. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much for the kind words—it means a lot! Captain Michael and the crew will be truly touched by your appreciation, especially knowing you were let down elsewhere and still walked away with a 5-star day. We’re thrilled everything from the friendly team to the fishing time exceeded expectations, and even more so that we could turn a last-minute disappointment into something better. We’d love to welcome you back anytime—next trip, we’ll aim to make it even more unforgettable. 🎣
Called last minute as we didn't know our schedule with all the craziness going on. Capt was open and lite hearted, which made the whole trip that much more fun. Great boat, really clean and plainly of room. We caught grouper, snapper and Mahi Mahi all in 6 hours. We only scheduled a 4hr, but was having so much fun, the captain let us extend it. Will 100% do this again, and can not recommend this trip enough.
We appreciate you taking the time to post your experience, we hope you're hooked! Till next time, tight lines
Capt. Zack was a nice guy, but he needed a first mate, more life jackets and a cleaner boat. A man in our party had to drive the boat to help catch bait. The description of the adventure wasn't as primitive as our experience. Our bathroom was a five gallon bucket on the back of the boat. Not cool for the ladies. Two seats and a bean bag for 4. He needed a better place for exposed fish hooks (not next to our seat). 3 of us got hooked on his poles. We met at a state park which meant we had an additional parking fee. We caught some nice fish and had fun, but other fishing charter experiences were much better than this one.
Barb, so sorry about your bad experience. After doing much research into your trip, the reason your trip was not what you expected was that your travel agent booked it and had "NO IDEA" what they were doing. With offshore fishing trips all around the world, there are many different model boats used. Your prior experience using an offshore charter was on a bigger boat, with a head and first mate. This is totally understandable, we have those as well. The problem was that your travel agent had no idea what they were doing, and with not having contact with you prior to help get you on the boat you were looking for (expecting). Instead, your travel agent chose the one they could make the most money on, not providing what you desired. For our readers, we refunded almost the entire fee to the travel agent which we did for you Barb, The travel agent should have been the one to refund your money for the ignorance of selling something and not asking the correct questions which would have prevented this entire situation. Again Barb, we would have never put you on that boat. By asking in the presale we would have understood what you were looking for and expecting out of your charter. The boat you were on is common for the area and less expensive.
