This trip was amazing! Highly recommend to all. Both guides went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed. The restaurant that you visit is fantastic.
Arrived at the pier in Krabi and hired a local batman to take us on a trip around the beautiful mangrove. Truly natural beauty, but check on the tides as you won't be able to get into the heart of the mangrove at low tide.
We booked this tour for six people including our two and seven year old children. We met our friendly guide on the pier. He was very helpful with assisting us to get onto the longtail boat and offering water before taking us up the river. We first stopped at the cave where we were able to explore for a while before returning to the boat and continuing on. We then stopped by some local fisherman and were able to see them catching prawns and small fish in their nets from their boats which was nice. After that, we proceeded to the local village where another friendly guide took us around the island by tuk tuk. He was very informative about their local way of life. It was a beautiful wxperience to see the water buffalo, rice paddy fields, batik art and just to see Thailand away from the main tourist areas. A highlight was to see a cashew apple.picked from the tree and to see how the local community harvest stingless bee honey which we were able to taste and purchase. After this relaxing adventure, we had a beautiful lunch at a restaurant on the river which included tamarind prawns, fried rice, seafood tom yum soup a few other dishes and drinks. By the time we had arrived at the restaurant it was already time to finish the tour, however the longtail boat guide waited very patiently and graciously, encouraging us that it was ok to relax and finish our meal. He also contacted our pre-booked driver who had been waiting back at the pier for our tour to end and requested for him to wait longer. After lunch, the longtail boat guide then took us through a beautiful mangrove forest, as the tide had risen where we saw some monkeys right on the water's edge. We then headed back to the pier. I highly recommend this tour as all of the guides and locals were beautiful people to spend time with and very accommodating. This is definately an adventure to do if you want to see Thai life from a relaxed, local perspective and learn a bit about their way of life.
This is the best tour you can do around Krabi! Experience Thai happiness as you float through the mangroves. The positive vibe of the guides made our day perfect. We would love to come back again!

Brilliant trip, highly recommend. We saw a cool cave and then went to 3 villages to see real Thai life. En route we saw so much wildlife, chickens baby chick's, goats cows, stroaked the buffaloes. Horses and a monitor lizard. We saw a beautiful blue kingfisher and our tour guide was superb! He spoke great English and told us about their culture. They use the king fisher to tell the time. We saw honey bees which don't sting and tasted their honey. We learned about the chicken singing competition and saw the plant they use to roll the tobacco. We painted fabric at the factory 50 baht each child which we got to keep. Got the kids pull a long toys make from the coconut shell too. They were very happy 😊 we tasted the cashew apple that our tour guide got for us and learned about how they burn them to get the nut out. They are an acquired taste! Very juicy. Mangroves were beautiful and our boat tour guide took pictures of our family at scenic points for us. Thank you!!!
Dear Laura_B Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We're thrilled you had such a brilliant trip and got a real taste of Thai life. It sounds like you saw (and learned about!) so much: the caves, the villages, the wildlife, and even the unique way they tell time! We're especially happy to hear your guide was superb – that makes a big difference. We love that your kids got to paint fabric and pull the coconut shell toys – those are always a hit! Thanks for letting us know about the cashew apple – interesting to hear they're an acquired taste! We're so glad the boat tour was beautiful and the guide captured those special moments for you. Thanks again for choosing our tour, and we hope to see you again in Thailand someday!
The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because we thought that the description was a bit inaccurate. Our guides were super friendly and even made the tour longer than it was supposed to be. We LOVED the views and overall vibe! The cave was very impressive, also beautiful mangroves and fisher village… From the description we expected to go deeper and longer into the mangrove forest. The cave and fisher village were equally as important though. We were happy though because everything was interesting and beautiful! So if you want a trip of this entire mangrove area for very good value, this is a really awesome trip! If you want to focus on the depth of the mangrove forest, it’s probably better to do a shorter trip which is solely focusing on the forest.
Dear 415juleens Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We're so glad that you enjoyed your tour with us. We appreciate your feedback about the description of the tour being inaccurate. We'll work to make sure that the description is more accurate in the future. We're glad that you enjoyed the views, overall vibe, and guides on your tour. We're also glad that you found the cave and fisher village to be equally as important as the mangrove forest. We understand that you were expecting to go deeper and longer into the mangrove forest, but we hope that you still enjoyed the tour overall. Thank you again for your review! We hope to see you again soon.
