Mt. Manaslu liegt im nepalesischen Gorkha District und steigt auf 8.163 Meter. Manaslu liegt östlich der berühmten Annapurna-Region und grenzt an den nördlichen Nachbarn Tibet. Kürzlich für Wanderer geöffnet, bietet Manaslus unübertroffene Schönheit und reiche Mischung aus tibetischer und nepalesischer Kultur dem engagierten Wanderer ein echtes Abenteuer. Dies ist eine schwierige Wanderung, für die wir von jeglichen modernen Einrichtungen sehr isoliert sein müssen. Die Wanderung erreicht hohe Erhebungen und bietet die Möglichkeit, felsige und bergige Landschaften sowie blau-grüne Gletscherseen zu sehen. Sie werden verstehen, warum diese Gegend seit jeher ein beliebter Spielplatz für Bergsteiger ist.

I conducted the Manaslu circuit with this agency in September 2025. The surprise began when the guide the agency had hired barely spoke English, which made it difficult throughout the trek to communicate basic things like where we were going to stay overnight or what the next stage would look like. Since it was monsoon time, we were not surprised by some changes in the planning we initially had for the agency, but we already started to get upset at the end, when we started to see jeeps pass in an area where, according to the guide, they could not go through the landslides and that we had to do on foot. Finally, we realized that the guide was looking to keep the money allocated for the jeep (and who knows what else). When we tried to contact the agency directly to comment on the situation, the first thing they did was wash their hands and point out the changes we made to the planning with the guide were under our responsibility, but everything twisted and they had no choice but to intervene, when on the day of the last stage, the guide left us in the middle of the route, and at night, he appeared drunkenly insulting and physically assaulting us. Moreover, the next day we disappeared cash and several valuables, and could not but think that the guide himself had stolen them. My feeling with the agency is that, looking for maximum performance, they don’t take good care of who they hire as a guide on the routes, and they don’t respond later to the problems it may cause. Please keep this information in mind when hiring a trek with them, not because of the extra money they ask for to get rich, but because the hired guide will have to accompany them in a risky activity and they are not reliable. At the same time, you would have no problem being contacted by anyone who needed it to check it.
Excellent trekking route. It was a perfectly organized trekking with great lodges. Kind quides. And most important we were very glad that we had two quides. Because two of us had to go back because of diabetes. The view and nature are really amazingly great..beyond expectations. It is more than worth it. Changes your life!
