Nach Ihrem Besuch in Valletta besuchen Sie die Gegend der drei Städte, die für ihre imposanten Befestigungsanlagen bekannt ist, die die Städte Senglea, Vittoriosa und Cospicua auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des großen Hafens direkt vor Valletta im Laufe der Jahrhunderte geschützt haben. Als nächstes besuchen wir die mittelalterliche Stadt Mdina. Mdina wurde auf einem Plateau in der Mitte der Insel erbaut. Die alten Barockgebäude der Stadt, die Kathedrale und die prächtigen Bastionsmauern dominieren die ländliche Skyline. Mdina, einst die Hauptstadt Maltas, bis die moderne Stadt Valletta 1566 erbaut wurde, hatte viele Namen, darunter Melite, Medina (arabische Besetzung), Citta Notabile und Citta Vecchia (nach dem Bau von Valletta). Heute wird es auch als Silent City bezeichnet, da es zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit zu Ruhe führt. Die einzige Möglichkeit, diese Stadt wirklich zu erleben und zu genießen, besteht darin, zu Fuß die malerischen Gassen, engen Gassen, alten Gebäude und die großartigen, weitreichenden Ausblicke von den hohen Bastionsmauern aus zu erkunden. My wife and I had a recent Italian and Malta holiday and Soleto Travel through Omar arranged the Malta accommodation and private car transport and day trip arrangements. A week in mid Sept of convenience with airport and hotel pick up, day tours with guides to see all the beautiful Malta highlights, a country with such a rich history. Safe driver and informative guides along with excellent accommodation at Hotel Juliani, Spinola Bay. Omar also arranged for a pick up at Pisa airport, visit and lunch in Lucca and car transfer to Florence. Highly recommend Soleto Travel & Omar for excellent and prompt communication and tour arrangement services.

The two-day tour experience Charmaine and John provided was OUTSTANDING and I cannot speak highly enough of them both. Charmaine was extremely knowledgeable, kind and attentive. She worked hard to tailor the information and service she provided to my interests. Johnathan was professional, reliable and his vehicle was clean and comfortable. Malta is a very special place to visit and by the end of the two days I felt I had some lovely memories to take away and had made some new friends. Our tour guide and driver were INCREDIBLE! She was so knowledgeable and due to her being a local, she was able to take us to places that were less traveled. This allowed us to stand or sit and take in the sights for as long as we wanted to. She was very thoughtful and took ample pictures of us. Our driver had wet wipes in the car. TIP: carry tissue for the toilets and hand sanitizer as often there is no toilet paper or soap in bathrooms. We had two additional stops that weren’t on the itinerary but they were serene and places the tour guide and driver frequent in their personal time. We got to overlook the Blue Lagoom vs. being in the crowds and pulled over to the side of the road for a panoramic view of Mdina! WORTH EVERY PENNY! Please tip your tour guide and driver.
We arranged two full-day private sightseeing tours with Soleto, one in advance of arriving in Malta and the other after we arrived. They were easy to work with via email and WhatsApp. We were impressed with the knowledgeable and personable guides and drivers and the cleanliness and comfort of their vehicles. At the end of each day we felt like we'd had a rich Malta experience and had made new friends.
Our tour of Valletta and pre-history sites was amazing. Our guide, Julia, has exceptional knowledge of the history of Malta. Alex our driver did a great job navigating. We enjoyed a delicious lunch too!
We couldn't have asked for more on this incredible adventure through Maltese history which Dennis brought to life so vividly. He was a responsive tour guide, answering our off the cuff questions with friendly ease. And our driver was terrific. This company went out of their way to accommodate our requests, and were very good at communication.
Guide Dennis and driver Jonathan were excellent! Dennis was so knowledgeable, interesting and fun. It was raining (rare on Malta), so we had to improvise and make the best of it. Dennis was cheerful and kept us dry by creatively changing up the tour. He had the right balance of being with us and giving us privacy. Lunch was excellent at a “local flavor” place filled with locals. We learned a lot and had a great day! Highly recommend!
My husband it a history buff and loved the background and stories that Dennis (our guide) provided as he led us through this magnificent city! I did not know much about Malta before this tour and I absolutely fell in love with the architecture and history of this area. If you want a thorough comprehensive tour Dennis is your man!
