Die Drachenhöhlen gehören zu den meistbesuchten in Europa und werden von vielen als das 8. Weltwunder bezeichnet. Der Martelsee, einer der größten unterirdischen Seen der Welt, ist Schauplatz klassischer Musik. Die Innentemperatur ist das ganze Jahr über sehr angenehm und konstant: 21 Grad Celsius. Wir empfehlen, während des Besuchs bequeme Schuhe zu tragen. Ca. 1 Stunde Fahrt in den Höhlen. Der Eintritt ist im Reisepreis enthalten. Majorica produziert seit über hundert Jahren hochwertige Perlen. Die Bio-Perlen sind weltweit berühmt und es ist fast unmöglich, sie von den natürlichen Perlen zu unterscheiden. Der Name Porto Cristo, was so viel bedeutet wie "Der Hafen Christi", der ihm 1260 n. Chr. zur Zeit der christlichen Invasion Mallorcas gegeben wurde. Der Legende nach trug ein Ochse eine Ikone Gottes durch die Stadt, und der Ochse blieb stehen und weigerte sich, weiterzugehen. Daher sah das Volk dies als Zeichen und der Name wurde von diesem Glauben abgeleitet, es sei ein klares Zeichen, dass Christus hier sein wolle.
Majorica wird in Manacor hergestellt und produziert seit über hundert Jahren hochwertige Perlen. Die Bio-Perlen sind weltweit berühmt und es ist fast unmöglich, sie von den natürlichen Perlen zu unterscheiden. Unsere Tour beginnt in Camí de la Escollera vor der Kathedrale von Palma. Palma wurde als römisches Lager auf den Überresten einer talaiotischen Siedlung gegründet. Die Stadt war während des Zerfalls des Weströmischen Reiches mehreren Vandalenüberfällen ausgesetzt, die dann vom Bizantinischen Reich zurückerobert, dann von den Mauren (die es Medina Mayurqa nannten) und im 13. Jahrhundert von James I. von Aragon kolonisiert wurden.

We enjoyed the caves but found the transport experience difficult. We were picked up from our hotel to be taken to the port. We waited an additional 20 minutes for the next coach to arrive which then had broken air con. We arrived at the caves 2 hrs 15 after our initial pick up. This was then repeated on the way back with the need to change coaches again.

It is a highly recommended excursion, from the guide who explains things in great detail, to the landscapes that you appreciate throughout the tour. The Serra Tramuntana is not to be missed; it is a world heritage site you have to see if you are in these parts. The stop on the way to Sa Calobra was unbeatable with fresh orange juice before continuing on. To the great spectacle that is the Torrent de Pareis, an iconic place. Then you get on the ferry to start other adventures, first a ride on the vintage tram and then the train that goes through more than ten tunnels. IMPRESSIVE!!
The caves are beautiful however the guides inside rush you out and you really don’t get a full experience

Horrible excursion. Horrible guide, excursion is misleading as to the actual excursion. The boat portion is a whole 20 meters. That is not an exaggeration. And you have to wait in line an extended period time if you want to do it. No reason to do so.

The bus was 45 minutes late!! When it finally did come, we were hushed on board and couldn't talk....just like little kids. Quite strenuous climbing many steps which was difficult for one member of our group. Very humid made it difficult to breathe. The cave formations was fascinating.

The Drach Caves are amazing to see. The Pearl Shop was just a bathroom break for most on the bus. Not one person bought anything. Just a collaboration to push tourists through. The biggest issue is that my friend and I spent 3 hours on the bus after the tour to arrive at our pick up destination. This was due to miscommunication on part of the tour operators. We were so late that we lost a dinner reservation at a restaurant we had planned on visiting. Very frustrating and upsetting .

20 min late on pick up, fantastic communications via wats app. Pearl shop a lot of cheap nasty stuff at inflated prices, shop next door better. Photo for advertising tour implies WE would be on boat ride not the musicians. Music great. Way toooooo many people in caves at one time need smaller groups
