Unsere Reise beginnt an der Plaza Enrique García-Herrera, einem malerischen Platz, der die Essenz des historischen Charmes von Málaga einfängt. Hier stellt sich Ihr Reiseleiter vor und gibt einen spannenden Überblick über die Tour und bereitet die Bühne für einen Tag voller Entdeckungen und köstlicher Aromen.
Anschließend schlendern wir zum Mercado Central de Atarazanas, einem belebten Markt in einem beeindruckenden Gebäude aus dem 19. Jahrhundert mit einer reichen Geschichte, die bis in die maurische Ära zurückreicht. Dieser lebendige Markt ist ein Fest für die Sinne und bietet eine Auswahl an frischen Produkten, Meeresfrüchten, Fleisch und lokalen Spezialitäten.
Vom Markt aus machen wir uns auf den Weg zur Santa Iglesia Catedral Basílica de la Encarnación de Málaga, die wegen ihres unvollendeten zweiten Turms oft als La Manquita (die einarmige Dame) bezeichnet wird. Dieses architektonische Meisterwerk verbindet Gotik, Renaissance und Barock und bietet einen Einblick in das reiche religiöse und kulturelle Erbe von Málaga.
Unser nächster Halt ist das römische Theater Málaga, eines der ältesten Denkmäler der Stadt. Dieses antike Theater stammt aus dem 1. Jahrhundert v. Chr. und zeugt von der römischen Vergangenheit Málagas. Und auch Blick auf die Alcazaba de Málaga .

We had a great tour. Jose is a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable about the city. This is our first time in Malaga so it was good to be shown around by someone who knows the city so well. I would highly recommend this tour if you are in Malaga for the first time. He took us to some very authentic places on the tour. We particularly enjoyed the market with the tasting of the olive oils and the olives. We finished the tour with a gelato, from the shop Jose went to as a child and still goes to now. We will be going back there as the gelato was delicious 😋

We had an amazing street food tour with Jose in Málaga and it was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. Jose is a super friendly and knowledgeable guide. We spoke in German and English, which made the whole experience very relaxed and personal. He shared lots of interesting stories and facts about Málaga that you would never discover as a normal tourist. The food and drinks were fantastic — delicious local food, great atmosphere and very good drinks as well. Everything felt authentic and carefully chosen. Jose clearly enjoys what he does and made the whole tour fun, easy-going and memorable. Highly recommended if you want to experience the real Málaga through food and local culture!

I was recommended to the secret food tours website by friends as a wonderful port excursion during my cruise of the Spanish coast, and I’m so glad I took their advice! The directions to the meeting place were perfect, our guide Ricardo was friendly, knowledgeable and very informed on the history and culture of the city. We had an olive oil tasting, a sampling of different prepared olive varieties, charcuterie, cheese, meatballs, sausage, fried cuttlefish, wine, sangria, Vermout, cake, ice cream … I was both well fed and more than a touch buzzed when we were done. Thanks to a combination of amazing markets, restaurants and taverns, a vibrant food culture, and an excellent and knowledgeable guide in Ricardo, I can heartily recommend this tour in Malaga.
