This was our first trip to Milan and we were very lucky to have Daniela as our city guide. She took us on a magical journey in and out of all sorts of enchanting and ancient buildings and rooms and was full of surprises and ace facts. I am interested in art and fashion and my husband loves history - Dany was able to give us a fabulous mix of both, sewing every together effortlessly. She even treated us to a coffee in La Scala. We breezed in to D&G’s homeware store to gasp at the prices and followed that by swinging by a spooky chamber made of skulls and bones. It was three hours of wonder never to forget!
Salvatore was a fantastic tour guide. The tour consisted of our family only (3 people). At each stop, we learned about the historical and social influences of the areas. Also Salvatore pointed out some off the beaten path attractions as well. We hopped on and off the subway along the way. Salvatore offered to take group pictures of our family throughout the tour without any prompting as well. Highly recommend this tour!
Davide was a very knowledgeable guide. We asked to see more of the hidden gems and he gave us exactly what we were looking for!
This is a SCAM. I booked this a month in advance. It was $US153 for this walking tour of the Duomo, Galleria, San Simpliciano, Brera district and Sforza Castle. I planned it for our first day in Milan to help us become familiar with the City. We were Very excited and really looking forward to it. My Husband and I showed up at 10:15am - 15 minutes before the tour, at the Piazza dei Mercanti, in front of Banco BPM EXACTLY as requested in the initial email. The tour guide - Ota Guydeez simply DID NOT SHOW UP. At 10:18 We called the number provided for the tour guide: 1350-203-7192; the local automated operator stated the number could not be reached. I called Trip Advisor/Viator at 1855 2755071 at 10:20. Even the Customer Care representative could not contact the Tour guide at the phone number! We were communicating via gmail and the Cust Care told me they would send me a gmail (which they did) and keep me updated when they contacted the Guide. We waited until 10:50, and then completely discouraged and disappointed, we left to try to salvage our day. Apparently - 29 days before - IN THE APP - which was NOT the way we had been communicating, and was NOT expected - a DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBER AND DIFFERENT MEETING SPOT WAS ARRANGED for us to meet with "Daniela". Communication should be consistent and seamless; this was NOT. We were at one side of the Piazza, separated by a cloister, and the Guide was at the other. She never even tried to find us at the ORIGINALLY AGREED UPON MEETING PLACE. She stayed as Still as the Statue she was supposedly standing in Front of. This is an example of VERY POOR PLANNING AND A GUARANTEE THAT MEETING UP WILL FAIL. At 10:57am (the communication from guydeez said 3:50pm???), still via the app and NOT via gmail, we were informed the Guide was "already at the meeting point"; but WHY WAS IT CHANGED IN THE FIRST PLACE? STILL ONLY WITHIN THE APP, AND WITHOUT SENDING US A GMAIL TO SAY "CHECK THE APP" further messages were sent at 11:01 and 11:26, asking US for another contact number! We were the ones, along with Trip Advisor/Viator who couldn't contact Guydeez to START WITH. And then they are using a platform they haven't even NOTIFIED US OF?? What the Heck?? Not Until 11:56 did I FINALLY receive a GMAIL of the MESSAGE INDICATING THE GUIDE HAD "arrived at the meeting location", and could I CONTACT GUYDEEZ DIRECTLY BY LOGGING INTO MY VIATOR (TRIP ADVISOR) ACCOUNT. I used the App at 12:22, 12:23, 12:28 and 12:36 to send a message, my phone number, my WhatsApp number and my Gmail address. NEVER EVEN HEARD FROM GUYDEEZ OR THE GUIDE DANIELA. I am still disputing this complete lack of service provision, with no satisfaction by way of a credit or complete refund BECAUSETHROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN I PAID FOR SOMETHING I NEVER GOT! TRIP ADVISOR/VIATOR AND GUYDEEZ WERE CAVALIER, UNTIMELY AND SLOPPY WITH THEIR COMMUNICATION, AND THEY SIMPLY WERE NOT WHERE WE RIGHTLY EXPECTED THEM TO BE!!
The tour guide did not know the correct time for the tour to start nor the correct number of people. She was an hour late. She was very knowledgeable about Milan and did give us a very good tour. However, because of her running an hour late we had to cut the last hour of our tour. Lastly, unfortunately, she did not have very good hygiene. I have used Viator before and will continue to use them.
Raffaele is a great guide - so informative! We were able to experience aspects of Milano separate from the typical sights which was amazing. Thank you!
Daniela was an excellent guide and sent us even more recommendations after the tour. She was friendly, interesting and spoke excellent English.
Our guide Paola was excellent! Very responsive to our questions and interests. We covered a lot of ground in the time we had with her and enjoyed her perspective on Milano and Italy in general.
Fabio was very knowledgeable and engaging and explained the history of the region we were interested in.
