Madaba – Berg Nebo – Panoramablick und Tour zur Taufstätte

Beschreibung

I had a great time on my Mount Nebo, Bethany Beyond the Jordan, and Madaba tour. I learned alot on the tour. My driver Sameer was awesome. He was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.
My wife and I had an outstanding experience with Retaj Jordan Tours and our driver Jay Tamimi. We initially hired Retaj just to take us on a half day tour of the Baptism site and Mt. Nebo. Ultimately, we also asked Retaj to pick us up from and drop us off at Queen Alia airport, drive us from Amman to the Dead Sea, and drive us in one day from the Dead Sea to Petra to Amman. Our scheduler at Retaj, Sukaina, did a great job putting our customized schedule together, and prices were always reasonable. Jay was our driver for each of these trips. He was very friendly, knew a tremendous amount about Jordan, and always got us to our destinations on time and very safely. We really enjoyed becoming friends with him throughout the week. Finding a tour company we could trust made a huge difference in our trip to Jordan, which is a beautiful and inspiring place. We strongly recommend working with Jay and Retaj.
We selected Baptism site, dead sea and mount Nebo. Car was great with WiFi and driver Sameer was excellent. He made our trip memorable!

Loai is such a great driver. He is friendly, polite and helpful. He can always give us recommendations and tips wherever we go. Trustworthy!
Dear dawnI4, I would like first to thank you for trust in our driver and company to take care of your itinerary; transfers, full days and tours in Amman and around. It was our pleasure having you here.
We used this company on a previous tour to Jerash & Ajloun which had worked out well. We even had the same driver called Adnan who was fine. The tour we'd paid for was for Madaba, Mt Nebo & the Baptism site but when Adnan arrived for the pick up he said his supervisor had told him Mt Nebo was not included in the tour which started the day off badly. Luckily I was able to prove Mt Nebo was included and it was sorted out in the end. Tip: once you've booked and paid be sure to print out the 'What to Expect' section to avoid any such 'confusion'. Madaba is a pretty & walkable little town. Whilst the mosaic map in St George's church was impressive there were quite a lot of people in the small church so we had a good look round at the rest of the interesting artwork in the church while we were waiting for the crowds to clear. The Archaeological Park is also really worth a visit. Mt. Nebo was an absolute highlight. The beautiful little church was serene and calm even though there were lots of people and the views were amazing. The baptism site was incredibly hot (we went in April)and the flies while waiting for the shuttle bus were a menace! It was like in 2 parts: steps leading to the small puddle of water where the tour guide said those who had arranged to cld dip their crosses and then a walk to the River Jordan itself. As you approach you'll hear music (strangely the day we went it sounded like mariachi music!)which is coming from the Israeli side of the River. On the Jordan side we were allowed to dip our feet in the really rather muddy river and take pictures which made the trip really memorable.
