Reiseverlauf

Our guide Peter was amazing! so knowledgable about the area, its history, etc. He planned out a wonderful day and if we wanted to shorten here....a little more time there, he was super flexible. And the area was breathtaking! Not to miss when in the Melbourne area for sure!
Views were amazing. Our quide only dropped us off at spots but did not go with us and explain the sites. He talked a lot in the car about un related stuff. A lot of travel from Melbourne but worth it if you enjoy seeing nature and ocean views
Hi Richard, I’m very sorry for the inconvenience caused, and can confirm that I’ve processed a refund for you. This is certainly not the experience we aim to provide. While the guide later advised me that he was unfortunately unwell on the day, this should have been communicated to me immediately, so the situation could have been handled better. Please be assured that I will be reinforcing with all guides that walking each site and providing clear, engaging explanations is a core standard I expect to be delivered on every tour. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I truly appreciate it and hope we may have the opportunity to welcome you again under better circumstances. Warm regards, Melvin
Our guide Peter was a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. He was very experienced in giving this tour and took us on a few successful side trips in search of koalas and kangaroos. We were also impressed with Peters safe and courteous driving skill. This tour was all day and we felt it was time well spent. We would highly recommend this tour.
The great ocean tour was awesome and unforgettable despite the rain that came every now and then during our trip. My family of 5 booked a private tour with Melvin as our guide and driver. Our vehicle was a Mercedes minivan which was spacious and comfortable for our family. We were picked up at 7am from our hotel and we travelled to Colac for our morning breakfast. After that we proceeded to the twelve apostles for our first stop of the great ocean road tour. Melvin, our guide, chose to travel via the reverse route which helped us avoided the crowd at every places that we stopped. Considering that we went to this trip on a Sunday, it’s hard to believe that there was little crowd at our various stops. Even though its end November, the weather is very chilly due to the very strong winds along the coastline. For those who want to travel here, please wear enough clothings to protect yourselves against the unpredictable weather in Melbourne. Bring along umbrellas as you never know when the rain will come. Our guide also brought us to see kangaroos and koalas along the way. Lunch at the Apollo Bay was around 1.30pm to 2pm, we chose to eat at a Chinese & western restaurant. The restaurant was not crowded during this time and we were able to find seats and order western dishes for our lunch. The view along the great ocean road was magnificent. I would suggest that if you intend to travel here, it’s best not to drive so that you can fully enjoy the scenic view along the coastline. The journey itself is very long and many sections of the roads are winding and narrow, so it can be dangerous if you are not alert and get yourself distracted by the scenic views. We have our last stop at the chocolate & ice cream factory. We ate some ice creams there and bought some chocolates back to our hotel to consume. This is a good place for chocolate lovers who will find many varieties of chocolates to choose from. In this trip, we were so blessed to have Melvin (Awesome Leisure Group) to be our guide and driver. He was very knowledgeable and experienced. Along the way, he shared with us much information on the great ocean road as well as the history of Australia. I would strongly recommend that you have him as your guide if you intend to travel to the great ocean road. All in all I would say this is an unforgettable trip and I will come back to the great ocean road again if I were to return to Melbourne.
Great experience. Stops were spaced well and we were able to see all the highlights of the Great Ocean Road in a day trip from Melbourne. Mike was a great guide and the van was comfortable with free WiFi.
Excellent private tour with ange, we had a super time!!! Highly recommended, the beautiful places!!!!
We visited the Great Ocean Road on October 22, 2025, and despite the rainy weather, our tour guide Peter made the day unforgettable! He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing detailed insights about Australian history and culture throughout the trip. Peter took us to the stunning Twelve Apostles, stopped along the way for photos, and ensured we saw koalas and kangaroos. He even took us to visit chocolate factory! Driving for nearly 12 hours, Peter remained attentive and caring, checking on our comfort and adjusting the car’s temperature as needed. He’s a truly thoughtful and dedicated guide—highly recommend! He is also an amazing photographer
An outstanding experience at Great Ocean Rd. Our operator Ange was amazing his knowledge and expertise of the area made our trip the best. This is a must do in Melbourne. I would highly recommend this private tour experience and please ask for Ange.
Did the Great Ocean Drive with Uli and it was absolutely outstanding. He was super flexible, fun, and tailored the trip perfectly for me as a solo traveler. Every stop felt special, and his energy made the whole experience unforgettable. Truly the best day I’ve had in Australia. Thanks, Luis (Uli is the real name—inside joke).
This was a fabulous tour. Mike was awesome! The itinerary was the perfect blend of variety. We saw all the major sites of the Great Ocean Road and made a few stops that weren’t on any other tour agenda which gave us a taste of the rainforest, the quaint town of Colac, we saw Koalas and kangaroos and beautiful rural Aussie farmlands as well as the amazing coastline views and.beaches and history of the Great Ocean road. Highly recommend.
