I was extremely disappointed with my experience dealing with Alba Thermal Springs & Spa. My issue was not simply that my gift voucher had expired, but rather the lack of communication and customer service throughout the process. I contacted Alba on two separate occasions regarding my voucher. The first enquiry received no response at all, and the second resulted in a generic refusal to assist from the reservation supervisor Janet . While I understand businesses have terms and conditions, customer service should involve more than sending a standard template response. A small gesture of goodwill, particularly given the lack of response to my initial enquiry, would have demonstrated that customer relationships are valued. For a premium wellness destination that promotes relaxation and hospitality, the customer experience fell well short of expectations. Good service is often measured by how a business handles situations when things don't go exactly to plan, and unfortunately this experience left me feeling that customer loyalty was not valued. As a result, I will be taking my future bookings to Peninsula Hot Springs, where I have consistently found the customer service to be professional, responsive, and focused on looking after their guests. I hope Alba reviews its approach to customer communication and considers how important flexibility and goodwill can be in building long term customer relationships.

I took my friend for her Birthday. They had a Brunch and Spa Special going. As soon as you walk into the place the tranquillity is relaxing. We met others who had a lunch time Special. The breakfast was just beautiful most enjoyable and beautifully presented. The mushrooms were delicious and my friend had the salmon. The manager Kathryn and her crew were just so polite and engaging making sure we were fine. Great start to the day Then the day started walking around all those beautiful relaxing pools it was just so tranquil. The trees are now starting to grow and making the place look beautiful. This is only new so expect the surroundings to be young. We sat in one pool and watched the beautiful birds. The native trees chosen are just beautiful for the area attracting wild life. We stayed for 5 hours it was a magical experience and met some lovely people. What a beautiful relaxing experience. Treat your partners or friends to a wonderful surprise. Its was lovely

Alba Thermal Springs exceeded every expectation. I visited with my daughter and it was such a special experience for us both. Every part of our stay felt relaxing, peaceful, and beautifully curated. We visited the bathing pools during the day and returned in the evening and it was a truly magical experience. Staying in The Sanctuary made it even more memorable — absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, the comfort, and the little details created the perfect escape from everyday life. Even the concierge coming up to our villa in the evening to light the fire, such a lovely gesture. I must say how private and secluded the villa felt, we did not hear or see another guest! It felt like our own oasis. We ate in the restaurant for lunch and breakfast and had room service for dinner. The food was possibly a highlight for me, every dish across the two days was superb. We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already planning our next visit. Truly one of the best wellness experiences we’ve had. My tip is to remember to bring your thongs, sunglasses and water bottle.

Spotless changing rooms with lovely robes. Looked man made but I think as the plants grow it will look better and more natural. Bathing was lovely and not too busy. The downside was the astronomical price for food and drinks. Definitely cant cater for people with allergies.

Me and a friend did the salt float before going into the hot springs pools. The salt float be better per person and not share due to running into each other and not being able to relax properly. The salt float very shallow. Can be overcrowded at the sauna and salt pools at times. Overall glad to experience this place. Make sure to bring your flip flops as cost $5 to hire. Bring your own water bottle.

We celebrated our 20th anniversary at Alba Springs, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Our private session in The Clouds set the tone for a serene and intimate day, followed by time in the outdoor pools that felt absolutely rejuvenating. Lunch at Thyme was exceptional—beautifully prepared, delicious, and served in such a calming setting. The property itself is stunning. The contemporary architecture, thoughtful design, and attention to detail make every corner feel special. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the staff. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our celebration feel meaningful. I’m already looking forward to returning—especially for the salt pool—and would love to experience an overnight stay next time.

The bathing pools are great. The ambience is relaxing. The facilities are first class. The staff are friendly and professional. So from a bathing experience I would rate this 5 stars. However, we also indulged in lunch at the restaurant. The table service was slow - it took 40 minutes and three reminders to have our initial drinks delivered. By then we had finished our meal. The food was elaborate, highly priced but essentially ordinary…and we left unimpressed. A deduction of two stars for the restaurant. So our recommendation would be to enjoy the bathing experience, but give the restaurant a miss.

Lovely site, but it was too busy. For a Monday morning we expected it to be quiet. To our surprise the site was so busy! There were times we couldn’t even fit into the pools so had to wait. It is relaxing, and the cafe is lovely for a coffee (just $5.50), but at the end of the day it is just a series of hot tubs. More interactive things would be nice for the price. We liked that the towels, robes and locker were included. Going from the cold pool to hot springs was good fun. Cold pools could be colder! Price should be lowered really. But lovely relaxing morning. We spent 4 hours here including a coffee break in the sun.

I recently visited Alba Mineral Hot Springs on the Peninsula, hoping for a special experience to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. The ambience of the venue was acceptable, and the staff were generally fine, but the views were non‑existent. We had booked the Wine and Cheese on the Terrace package, which included one glass of wine, a small cheese platter (with burnt lavosh biscuits), 45 minutes of private bathing on the terrace, plus access to the general public bathing area, towels, and robes. At $230 per person, it was already on the expensive side, but I thought it would be worth it for a memorable occasion. Sadly, the experience fell far short of expectations. We used the public area in the morning and were told to return to reception at 12:45 pm, which we did. We waited until 1:00 pm—our actual appointment time—before approaching the desk ourselves. Staff then took us upstairs, and that’s where things really went downhill. We were shown to an area with no view at all, unless you count a fire hydrant. There was no umbrella, only two chairs for three people, and the pool itself looked very sad and uninviting. It felt like a forgotten corner rather than a premium experience. This was especially frustrating because we could see two other terrace pools nearby that looked far nicer. We spoke with an attendant, who passed our concerns on to management. The manager did come to see us and offered a refund, but only $480—after deducting the cost of the public bathing. While the gesture was appreciated, the whole situation left us feeling like an afterthought. Unfortunately, this will be my first and last visit to Alba Hot Springs. It was expensive, underwhelming, and extremely overrated.

We had a great experience here and I thought the entry price was very fair for the quality on offer The whole site is beautifully designed to complement the natural beauty of the area The staggered entry slots meant we didn’t feel too crowded, and on some occasions we had pool areas to ourselves The whole experience was extremely relaxing and this was a particular highlight of our trip to Melbourne Highly recommend
