Horrible! I didn’t understand the purpose of the guide. He didn’t guide us. The bus drops u off and then ur on ur own. Almost as if ur suppose to know ur way around. They didn’t stop at both waterfall stops. If I was just going to go to the location and be dropped off I could’ve just taken a train for cheaper. This one is a waste. Don’t book. Book with another company that actually guides u unless u wanna guide urself. But then book a self guided one it will be cheaper. Also not enough time at stops to do anything.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Based on your comments, it appears this review may have been intended for a different tour company. Our tour includes both a professional driver and a dedicated guide on board throughout the journey. The guide provides information about each destination, gives clear instructions for every stop, and is available to assist guests throughout the day. Our itinerary also includes three stops: Interlaken, Grindelwald, and Lauterbrunnen, where guests visit the famous waterfall. If a stop was missed, it may have been on a different tour. We would also like to mention that traveling independently by train to all of these destinations is generally much more expensive than joining our coach tour, in addition to requiring multiple train connections. If you did travel with us, we would appreciate the opportunity to investigate your experience further. Please contact our customer service team with your booking details so we can look into what happened.
I have never had worst experience than this on a tour. Bus was late 10 min. The tour guide gave very little to no explanation/information about anything. They just dropped us to 3 different places and said come back at this time. Go left for old town and right for …. And that is about it. I would have rather taken a train and done things in my own and saved a lot of money. Very disappointed
Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify that the tour you booked and paid for corresponds to the description provided and the price paid. This excursion includes visits to three well-known destinations, with free time allocated in each location for guests to explore at their own pace. Regarding the 10-minute delay, unfortunately, traffic conditions are beyond our control and can occasionally affect the schedule despite our best efforts. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to provide the best possible experience for our guests. Regards
Would really recommend to people who are in Switzerland for a short time and want to visit these places without worrying about public transportation. Our guide was also really nice and told us where to visit and what time to come back for the bus. Keep in mind that this trip covers the bus ride only so if you want to do extra activities or eat then you will have to pay yourself for it.
Dear guest, Thank you for your great review! We’re happy to hear that you found the tour convenient and enjoyable, especially for making the most of your time in Switzerland without worrying about transportation. We’re glad your guide was helpful and provided useful recommendations throughout the day. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again soon!
What could have been a great tour was spoilt by a guide who was not forth coming with all relevant information. As an older couple we were unable to participate in the more active options but he gave no helpful information as to what the less active could do and was not interested when asked. It was difficult to hear him on the bus due to some chatter up the back which left has needing to ask the driver for options and return times. At Lauterbrunnen we informed him that a couple of girls failed to return to bus - he was not interested and said he had no idea who had or had not returned. No duty of care! I believe we missed out on quite a bit due to his failure to fully inform passengers of all there options. We weren’t the only ones who were unaware of where we should go for the best experience.
Dear Lorraine, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that parts of your experience did not meet your expectations. Clear communication and passenger care are extremely important to us, and we regret that you felt you did not receive enough guidance during the tour, particularly regarding the different activity options available. Please be assured that guest safety and support are always a priority for us, and we appreciate you bringing these points to our attention, as they help us improve both our service and our communication on tour. Thank you again for your feedback. Best regards, The Keytours Team
The tour bus arrived to pick up 45 minutes later than when they asked everyone to be at the meeting site. We thought the tour guide would be more informative with history and facts. The bus driver was excellent.
Dear Janet, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the delay at pickup and understand how frustrating that can be. As mentioned in the tour information, the bus starts its journey from Zurich before arriving in Geneva, and unfortunately unexpected traffic conditions or road incidents can sometimes cause delays despite our best efforts. we are pleased to hear that you found the driver excellent, and we will make sure to pass along your kind words. Thank you again for your feedback and for choosing Keytours. Best regards, The Keytours Team
If the weather is bad, rain, you won't be able to do the funicular at Interlaken. In Lautenbrunnen the walkway beside Staubbach Falls is somewhat slickery when it's wet so be careful.
Thank you for sharing these helpful tips. Weather conditions in the Alps can occasionally affect certain activities, and we always encourage guests to check local conditions and follow any safety guidance provided during the tour. We're glad you highlighted the importance of taking extra care on wet paths, and we hope you still enjoyed the incredible scenery and experience in the Swiss Alps.
The tour fulfilled everything offered, with wonderful places, worthy of more time to know, more worth doing.
Thank you so much, Sandra, for your kind feedback! 😊 We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and the beautiful places along the way. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again soon on another memorable experience with KeyTours! 🇨🇭✨
We seemed to be rushed in a couple of stops and better communication of activities and where they are located.
Thank you, James, for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you still rated the experience 4 stars. We’re sorry that some parts of the tour felt rushed and that communication about activities and locations could have been clearer. Your comments are very helpful and will be shared with our team to improve pacing and on-site guidance. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, and we hope to welcome you again with Keytours for an even smoother experience next time.
This particular tour was not good at all though the scenery was breathtaking. The tour guide we had did almost nothing!! The bus driver was amazing how he handled all the curves. I also travel with a mobility scooter and the driver helped me with it all the time with my husband. The tour guide was probably the worse one we’ve ever had and my husband and I have traveled all over Europe and South America as he barely spokectwo words the whole time. He actually fell asleep on the way back. I’m sorry to have to say that but as I said the views of the mountains was amazing
Thank you, Dennis, for sharing your feedback. We’re very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the breathtaking scenery and that our driver was helpful, especially with your mobility scooter and throughout the journey. We are, however, truly sorry to learn that the guiding experience did not meet your expectations. A guide’s role is to provide engaging commentary and support throughout the tour, and we regret that this was not your experience. Your comments are taken very seriously and will be reviewed with our team. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know, and we’re glad that despite this issue, you were still able to enjoy the beauty of the mountains.
Although the scenery was beautiful, the tour guide was inexperienced. There were several issues: 1. He did not accept our Viator ticket because it did not clearly show “Swiss Tour.” He could not find our names on his list. If he had checked more carefully, we could have easily shown our IDs to confirm our booking. It took about 10 minutes to resolve this, while the entire bus was waiting for us. 2. He began speaking before all passengers had gotten off the bus, so we missed important information—such as where the bus would be parked for pickup, visible meeting points, and what to see in the town. 3. He started walking toward the main waterfall without making sure everyone was following. At one point, he entered a train station, and we nearly got lost after several turns. If he had waited and pointed out key directions—such as where the elevator was—it would have helped us avoid unnecessary stairs. 5. On the way to one town, he briefly pointed out a public restroom while the bus was moving. After several turns, it was impossible to remember the location. We returned to the bus about 20 minutes early, and I needed to use the restroom. After searching for about 7 minutes, I gave up and returned. Another passenger also could not find it. If the guide had provided clear directions from the bus stop and explained how much time was needed for a round trip (likely 15–20 minutes), it would have been much more helpful. His explanation was that he had already given all the information to passengers who boarded earlier in Zurich. However, my wife and I joined the tour in Lucerne. Is it unreasonable to expect him to repeat key information for passengers boarding later? In summary, I would not recommend this tour for elderly travelers.
Thank you, Steve, for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that parts of your experience did not meet expectations, particularly regarding communication and clarity from the guide. All guests, including those joining at different stops, should receive clear and complete instructions, and we regret that this was not consistently the case during your tour. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know, and we’re sorry the tour did not feel suitable for your needs.
