Although we went when temperature was over 100* f we had a wonderful time. Got to see a rare aligator feeding, lots of birds and other animals like Kangaroos and what was easily 100 different Koalas. Never new they would have so many. I have tons of cute photos from that day. It wasn't crowded, had a little bit to eat & drink and I don't recall how much it was but seems like it wasn't too much and we did take Uber to and from. Highly recommend
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is absolutely amazing 🐨 went here for the entire day and spent ages watching all the koalas up close and got some amazing photos. Also watched the bird show and sheep dog show and hand fed the kangaroos. Only disappointing part was not being able to see the Wombats but they were sleeping so completely understandable Such a great place to visit with family or friends and definitely take your kids they will love it. Will definitely go again.
Admission is a costly $63, but the place offered closeup views of lots of koalas, emus, kangaroos, snakes, birds and other Australian fauna in very walkable surroundings. Various shows are offered during the day. The animals looked well cared for. It was a good day out.
Beautiful place to see wildlife up close. The animals are well cared for and we enjoyed seeing koalas, feeding kangaroos and we learnt so much about native Australian animals. Wonderful experience for families and animal overs.
We thought we would visit here and spend a couple of hours. Man we're we wrong. We spent all day here and we're thrilled with the visit. We are from the States and seeing these unique animals we've heard about or seen on TV programs was wondeful. From the platypus to the echidna, the wombat to the tasmanian devil, the emu to the cassowary, and, of course, the kangaroo to the adorable koala, we saw them all. It was a wonderful experience! Paying a little more to be actually meet and stroke the soft fur of a koala, Edmund was his name, as well as feeding kangaroos in a free range field was fascinating. It was a very educational AND memorable trip. I highly recommend it to anyone.
This is one of the best local fauna and flora sanctuaries/zoos I have visited. Expected to stay for 2 hours and was there for 5.
Get place to see koalas up close. There are other animals in unique settings for you to watch. The picture with a koala was great if there was no line. They rushed my friend when it was her turn. And after leaving the area, we returned and she was allowed to retake the photo that we had traveled 10,000 miles to get!
We had a great day. The free shows were fantastic and educational. The kangaroo feeding was fun and a once in a lifetime experience for someone from England. There were quite a lot of school children there which is great to see but sometimes did cause traffic and overcrowding of some areas. The food was great too. Overall a great day out
We had a brilliant time at the Lone Pine Sanctuary; such an amazing place to explore across a number of hours. Plenty of trees to shade from the ever-present sunshine; super interesting displays and animal experiences. Feeding the kangaroos and wallabies were a fam favourite for sure!
Thank you so much, Chizzamerica, for sharing your brilliant experience at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary! We're thrilled your family especially enjoyed feeding the kangaroos and wallabies and appreciated the shady trees that make your visit comfortable.
We had a brilliant time at Lone Pine. All the staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the sanctuary and where things were when asked. It was fabulous to see so many Australian wildlife around.
