What a fantastic day our guide Neil and Paul that's learning the job was absolutely brilliant. I would highly recommend this trip.
Tour guide and driver, Duncan, was very personable and did a great job.
Lots of stories from guide Jack made the driving a pleasure- the Stirling Castle terrific, every part of the tour was great.
Fantastic tour with great commentary and good driving.
We had a wonderful time on the Kelpies / Loch Lomond / Stirling Castle tour! Luckily the weather was perfect. A very comfortable ride, pleasant company, and relaxed time at each stop. Even some nice surprise visits along the way. Recommended for a day trip from Edinburgh.
We spent most of the time on the bus. I was expecting more time at the sites. The sites were ok. the Kelpies, fine, the loch, disappointing. I will we would have spent more time at the castle. We got there with 2 hours left before closing, so did not get to see it all. A bit disappointing.
Hello Jaime, Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't feel like you had enough time to explore the full of Stirling Castle. On our tours, we aim to have the right balance of time at different stops allowing for short photo stops and more time to explore key destinations in depths, such as Aberfoyle & Stirling Castle on this tour. We think that 2h is plenty of time to discover the castle, however, we understand that everyone has a different pace, and we're sorry the balance of time didn't feel right for you. We have a wide range of tours, some of which have more time at key destinations. If you wish to book another tour with us that would be more suitable to your personal pace, don't hesitate to reach our team for suggestions at tours@rabbies.com. Thank you again for your feedback and I hope that you were still able to enjoy your time on tour, discovering Scotland. Best regards, Camille
It could be a wonderful tour, but the rain was nasty at times. Our guide , Lyn was very knowledgeable and friendly. She talked about history, geology and fairy tales. While talking, Lyn was punctuating her speech with gesticulations and driving with only one hand on the wheel. It was a little scary when we were riding on the curvy road up and down the hills through the rain.
It was an amazing day! Stirling Castle was definitely worth visiting! Loch Lomond was beautiful and the Kelpies a true unique work of art!
First time with Rabbie’s and would not recommend. Very disappointed. The van is tiny and packs passengers like sardines. Which makes for a very uncomfortable ride cramped for many hours next to a tall person. Felt like I was on Spirit Airlines. Contacted the company and suggestion I got was to ask the driver to help. Driver could not help since the van was already overloaded. The guide is more of a driver than a guide. He periodically regurgitated some facts but did not seem to know Scottish history well. Sights were beautiful but I think it would have been a better experience with another company.
Hello, I'm sorry to hear that your journey was uncomfortable and that you felt there was not enough space on the bus during your tour. We use minibuses because they allow us to reach places that larger vehicles simply can’t access, helping us provide a more unique and immersive experience. However, we appreciate that they do offer less room inside, which may not suit all customers. To help guests make informed decisions before booking, we do outline the types of vehicles used on our tours. It's also disappointing to hear that your guide didn't provide a lot of commentary during the tour. Every guide has a different style, but we're expecting them to still provide some commentary about the sights on tour. I'm sorry that this didn't suit you and affected your overall experience. If you wish to give us more details about your feedback, you can contact us at feedback@rabbies.com, and we will definitely look into it. Best regards, Camille
I have never traveled with Rabie’s before and was fairly disappointed. 1). The van is small and extremely cramped. I was sitting between and window and a very tall person which left absolutely no room. It made for a very uncomfortable ride. 2). Our guide was more of a driver than a guide. He periodically regurgitated some facts but did not seem to know a lot of Scottish history. 3). Company was not very responsive when I contacted them about the situation with sitting. They told me to talk to the driver who could not help. The van was packed like a can of sardines. 4). The places we visited were amazing but it would have been much better to go with another company.
