Wir haben uns für Vermeers klassisches Gemälde „Das Mädchen mit dem Perlenohrring“ entschieden, weil es vielen bekannt ist und weil es großartige Beispiele für alle Prinzipien enthält, die wir in diesem Einführungskurs vermitteln -eine Vielzahl von Farben - Chiaroscuro (die italienische Bezeichnung für extremen Hell-Dunkel-Kontrast) -eine vollständige Palette an Hauttönen ... wir zeigen Ihnen eine einfache Methode zum Mischen von Hauttönen! - eine Vielzahl von Kanten, einschließlich harter, weicher und verlorener Kanten, und wir zeigen Ihnen, wie Sie diese alle leicht erkennen und ausführen können Dieser kurze Workshop macht jedem Spaß und eignet sich hervorragend für Anfänger.

The class was even better than expected. The instructor takes time to introduce the techniques and make sure you understand before starting. Then you get to paint, which was so much fun. The studio is beautiful, very welcoming, and in a great location. Overall, a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend. (Great for beginners)

Wow. This is one of the best experiences we have had in Florence. Laura is a fabulous artist and she shares her craft so beautifully. I’ve always wanted to explore painting, but have been intimidated by the tools, the paints, and just “where do I begin.” Laura starts with all of the basics, and presents them in such a lovely and relatable way. By the time we put brush to canvas, I felt confident in myself. It was a joyous feeling. I wish I could spend hours each day learning with Laura! Her studio is simply magnificent. Her paintings are inspiring, and her husband is a sculptor - his works are stunning. Their sweet pet rabbit, Leo, is a delightful addition to the marvelous environment we learned and painted in. If you have ANY interest in painting, then this class is a MUST! I learned more in 3 hours than I have in several years of art classes. Laura knows what she is talking about and makes it easy and fun to learn. I want to go back to Florence just to take more classes with her! Frank was very kind and Leo the bunny was an adorable bonus!

A very great and friendly atmosphere with a great teacher, who explained everything very well and also helped if questions or difficulties arose! And the studio really has charm with the many paintings, portraits and sculptures!!! In addition, a friendly black rabbit also hops through the studio!!!

Loved this. As an occasional painter, it was a good session to get back to the basics and understand how to paint better. As a beginner, I expect it would be even great. Laura is a great teacher, and her studio is a lovely place to get the creative juices flowing. I definitely recommend this class!
