Geschichtsliebhaber werden Livingstone lebend finden. Viele Gebäude aus dem ersten Jahrzehnt des Jahrhunderts sind noch in Gebrauch. Es war eine der ersten weißen Siedlungen in Nordrhodesien (Sambia) und für eine ganze Weile war es das einzige städtische Zentrum in dem Gebiet und das Tor zum Norden. Die Stadt hat viel von ihrem kolonialen Charakter bewahrt, ist aber eine typische afrikanische Stadt mit einem geschäftigen Charme. Livingstone empfängt Gäste aus der ganzen Welt, die das Weltwunder sowie die vielen spannenden Aktivitäten, die beide Seiten des Falls zu bieten haben, genießen wollen. Es gibt kein Ende der Verspottung für viele Stifte in Worten. Livingstone ist heute das touristische Zentrum von Sambia. Wir begrüßen Sie in der Stadt des Erbes und der Kultur.

Dieses beliebte Museum enthält Sambias älteste Sammlung faszinierender Proben aus der Vorgeschichte der Region sowie Fotografien, Musikinstrumente und Erinnerungsstücke von Davide Livingstone, dem ersten Weißen, der die Victoriafälle gesehen hat.
Eine unserer beliebtesten Livingstone-Touren ist ein Ausflug in ein traditionelles Dorf. Der örtliche Livingstone-Häuptling, Häuptling Makuni, ermutigt die Besucher seines Dorfes, in dem etwa 7.000 Leya leben, wertvolle Kenntnisse über die Führung eines afrikanischen Dorfes und die Alltagsroutinen der dort lebenden Menschen zu gewinnen. Ein Schulleiter begleitet Sie durch das Dorf, um zu zeigen, wie traditionelle Hütten hergestellt und dekoriert werden, um die Dorfpolitik zu erklären und alle Fragen zu beantworten, die ein Kunde möglicherweise hat.

We are back from the Livingstone town tour and we are still thinking about it! The Livingstone Museum was top notch, so well-made and informative, we learned so much about the history and culture of the area. And Mukuti African Village was truly eye-opening; the presentation by a member of their tribe was truly amazing and really brought the culture to life. Interesting place , used to be the capital of Northen Rhodesia, (Today Zambia) it has the oldest museum in country, the railway museum, the jewish museum, some interesting art deco architecture. If you are into history do not miss it. But if you are not into history could be boring.
Nice city tour we visited the Livingstone museum and the Curial market. Still looking forward to do it again
