Lissabon und Sintra Highlights Private Tour

Our guide Ines was very knowledgeable and attentive and was an excellent guide in Cintra and other notable spots around Lisbon. Ines went above and beyond to help us when KLM rescheduled our flights, at the last minute, without providing us alternate accommodations. She provided us translation help when dealing with the airline.

Luis was really a nice and helpful guide he make sure that everybody was safe all the time (steps or step terrein). Furthermore, we have enough time for taking pictures and explore a little bit on our own. He answer every question asked and even went above and beyong with his helpfulness. I recommend this tour and Luis as a guide.

The tour person, Rua Joao was great, he has vast knowledge, tireless, and kind. He shared in each step of the tour the history, events, and results of the area, building, historical characters. Thanks, Dr. Nasseh

First let me say that our guide was excellent. My issues with the tour was that based on the description I expected a defined itinerary. We were asked to define what we wanted to see. We were able to sort that out but we were relying on the knowledge of the tour company to build the itinerary. The larger issue was that the description of the tour was to include tickets to specific venues. Reading deeper it was pointed out that we were supposed to select the option to get the tickets, at an increased price, I assume and it was never mentioned in the description. And the language in Viator indicated that tickets were included. Like I said the guide was good.

Our tour guide Filipa was amazing. She was so friendly. It was a pleasure spending the entire day with her. The tour was a great way to start off our Portugal trip.

Lucia was most knowledgeable about the area and most helpful! I would highly recommend Lucia as an exceptional guide.

We had an amazing day with our knowledgeable guide Valerio. He was very respectful, accommodating and most of all knowledgable. This was truly an amazingly excellent tour.

Our travel agent booked us an all-day private tour during our recent trip to Portugal where we were picked up at our hotel (1908 Hotel) in Lisbon by Joao, our tour guide. Joao took us to Sintra so we could see Pena Palace in all it's beauty! On the way there, we learned so much from Joao. He is a wealth of knowledge ranging from history to economy and everything in between. Following our guided tour (by Joao) of the palace and the beautiful grounds, we spent a little time in Sintra (visited Casa Piriquita bakery and sampled their Pasteis -a must!!), then headed off to Cascais for a delicious lunch overlooking the water. Looking back at the day, I can say that the palace and grounds were stunning, the architecture amazing, the views perfect, but it was Joao who made a lasting impression on us. We felt an instant connection to him. I have never left a review for anyone or anything, but felt compelled to recommend him to anyone looking for an exceptional tour guide. Joao knows Portugal as well as most of us know our own children so he can accompany you through any area of Portugal. We do play to go back someday and will certainly connect w/ Joao again! We Didn’t actually get to see the iconic Peña Palace (not even a drive past) which was the main purpose of booking this trip out of Lisbon. We still don’t understand why, but by the time we realised we weren’t going there, it was to late (we did go to Cascais beach area instead but couldn’t enjoy that because of the rain). The guide Joao was very knowledgeable and friendly and he made sure we saw a lot of Lisbon (just not the main event in Sinatra!).

Joell was very knowledgeable, and passionate about Portugal. Highly recommend tour for a quick way to see the city.
