The tour operator cancelled the tour that morning as the guide reported a mechanical failure to the vehicle while on the way to our pick-up point, requiring tow service. They advise attempts to replace the vehicle were unsuccessful as all other guides and vehicles were already assigned. Obviously unable to rate provider, but you have to choose a star or more.
I was really looking forward to this wine tour because it seemed just like what we needed. But it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. From the beginning we were having problems with the billing and couldn't get a straight answer for it. Then when the tour started, it was all sorts of wrong. The guide was inexplicably in a hurry and did not take into account our desire to take pictures or longer. The food was atrocious as if they went for the worst possible options. I will never go with this company again.
We had a really lovely day on this Arrábida wine tour with Tiago. We were looking for a relaxed day outside Lisbon with good wine, nice scenery and local food, and this tour delivered exactly that. Tiago was a great guide: friendly, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable without making the day feel like a history lecture. He gave us interesting context about the region, the wine, and the places we visited, but everything felt natural and relaxed. Arrábida is beautiful, especially the coastal views and the mix of mountains and sea. The wine tasting was very enjoyable, and lunch was generous and felt local, which we really appreciated. The whole day was well organized, but it still felt personal and flexible. It was a perfect break from Lisbon and a great way to see a different side of Portugal. I spent a really enjoyable day on this Arrábida wine tour with Tiago. It was a nice change from Lisbon and gave me a chance to see a quieter, more scenic side of Portugal. Tiago was excellent throughout the day. He was friendly, relaxed and easy to talk to, and he clearly knew the area well. What I liked most was that the tour didn’t feel rushed or overly formal. He gave me interesting information when it made sense, but also let me enjoy the views, the wine and the moment. The wine tasting was very good, and the food was one of the highlights of the day. Everything felt well chosen and local, not like a generic tourist stop. Arrábida itself is beautiful, especially the mix of mountains, ocean views and small coastal places. Do not book with this company. I wish I would have looked at the recent reviews more closely before booking. Our tour was rescheduled very last minute from a Friday to a Sunday due to our guide twisting their ankle and being unable to give the tour per the company. We scrambled to rearrange our travel itinerary last minute to accommodate the new date only for the guide to no show on the new date. We finally heard back from the company about 12 hours later stating an unplanned event also happened to our new guide. I would have given them the benefit of the doubt until I realized some of their recent reviews stated similar experiences. Avoid avoid avoid. Ended up wasting two days of our trip.

On the morning of your tour, the guide due to meet you was caught in a sudden emergency that required hospital care. It was exceptional and entirely beyond our control, but the disappointment it caused you was very real, and we take full responsibility for it. As soon as we were able, we notified Viator — the platform you booked through — and authorised a full refund without question. We’re sorry if word reached you more slowly than it should have; given the unprecedented circumstances, we did everything within our power to put things right as quickly as possible. This experience also taught us something valuable: that however unlikely such events may be, they can still happen. In response, we have put contingency plans in place so that, should anything this exceptional ever occur again, the guests we care so much about are protected and far less affected than you were. We are a small, independent company — and with more than 500 guest reviews, this is the first time anything of this kind has ever happened to us. It simply is not who we are. I have to say this was one of the best experiences of our vacation in Portugal. I had hoped that the day would provide me with a respite from the hectic environment in the city, but it surpassed all expectations. Every moment of the tour was a delightful surprise, and everything seemed to exceed my hopes. The wineries we visited looked gorgeous, and there was never any crowd at all, making our visit extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed this tour with Nidia. It was a great way to get out of Lisbon for the day and see a completely different side of Portugal. The scenery in Arrábida was beautiful, especially the views over the coast and the mountains. The day had a very nice rhythm: enough time to enjoy the places, taste the wine, have good food, and actually take everything in without feeling rushed. Nidia was lovely. This was one of the best days we had during our time in Lisbon. We wanted to see something outside the city, but without feeling rushed or stuck in a big tourist group, and this tour was exactly that.
