Our flight from the West Coast of America was late. We first went to Amsterdam and were delayed a bit from that airport. When we got to Lisbon our luggage did not arrive. It took an extra hour to get the forms filled out, etc in the list luggage area. When we finally got to go outside the terminal there was no one to meet us. We waited and tried calling the phone number for help on the Viator booking receipt but the recording said it was not a good number . We had to pay an Uber driver to take us to Sintra. It was a long day of travel for us and we were exhausted. I'm not sure how to get our paid funds credited back and not once did we get a text asking if we arrived at the airport or if we even made it to our airbnb.

Everything went great. I texted with the driver who took me to and from Cascais. She was very gracious in accommodating my delayed departure flight, knew exactly where she was going, and was a good driver in both Cascais and Lisbon. It can take patience! Elizabeth Baird

My plane was several hours late and my driver was in the location provided to me waiting for me. She was a good driver, friendly and helpful with luggage. What a relief knowing that I had reliable transportation to hotel even with plane delay....

So we waited in the line(que) for the taxi manager to direct us to a airport taxi the black and green ones. I had asked about the cost to cascais he said it was metered so could not give an estimate. We got in the cab and was totally distracted initially by the sights and speed of traffic. It was when we got into our trip I noticed the meter was not on and turned facing in . When we landed in cascais the driver who was obviously had scammed us charged us a flat rate of $64 and showed me the flat rate guide he had conveniently tucked up in the visor. So traveller beware make sure the meter is on or better still use Uber / Bolt located in the departure area.

My flight was late on arrival. I was so worried about whether my driver would still be waiting for me. Much to my surprise..he was! It was the nicest man and gave me lots of ideas as to what to do in Sintra. Thank you so much

Got closer to entrances than most drivers. Personable driver and knowledgeable. Money well spent, comfortable car
This was a terrible experience. In the beginning they were responsive. They told me who was picking me up and what vehicle plate etc. Someone very different and difficult to find was there. Once we were in the car and on the way, the main office calls the driver and said that they wanted to speak with me. I was told that the price was actually going to be 12 Euros more. I was very upset as I had supplied my address and given a quote( which was the same as another company). I did not have any Euros as I had just arrived, The person on the phone was not nice and borderline threatening. Not a way to start a vacation.
Dear madam, Thank you for your feedback even though less positive. All feedbacks allow Avenidas to grow as a company and we take them very seriouly. We would like to explain that when selecting a transfer at least in Portugal there's 2 options: Lisbon and Cascais/Sintra. Why? Because Sintra and Cascais are not in the city center and involves a bigger distance, tolls, more fuel, etc. That way the value must necessarily to be higher. Nevertheless, we understand that we should have noticed the Sintra's address earlier and inform you in advance. For that we truly apologize and we only wish the rest of the trip has went well. We had to wait over an hour for our transfer but the driver was really nice and of course these things happen
